Just got my 2008 Touring Lease
by eleven03 on Mon Oct 01 10:21:56 PDT 2007
Just leased my 2008 CX-7 FWD Touring, Black with Homelink/Compass rearview mirror, bumper guard and wheel locks MSRP of $26545 from Gunther Mazda in Fort Lauderdale, FL with the following terms. MSRP $26,545 Cap Cost $24,300 Res. Value 57% Money Factor .00114 For 36 months 15,000mi/yr For $318.92/months tax in (sales tax is 6% in my county) I also bought the extra 9,000 miles to extend my 36mo/36,000mi manuf. warranty to 36mo/45,000mi warranty for an extra $490 total raising my monthly payments to $334/month. $1,000 out of pocket covering 1st Mo., TTL & Dealer fee only. I think I did pretty well. Any comments?

Wear and Tear protection is nothing other than money in the dealer's pocket. Don't buy it. All you need to worry about is the MSRP of the car (to calculate residual), the price you negotiate and the money factor (mf X 2400 to get interest rate). This will give you your monthly payment. Since this is your first time leasing, go to www.leaseguide.com. There is a ton of very useful information over there. jose
Re: Impossible Lease Deal on CX-9 Touring AWD? [edmundskb]

Hi everyone, I know that when you trade in a car you have a sales tax advantage, as you only pay sales tax on the difference between the trade-in and the new car. Is that the case on a lease too? (I am trying to determine if I am better off selling my car outright and making a couple of grand or trading it in and save myself a couple of grand on taxes) Thanks in advance for your help! Jose
New Left over 2005 mazda 3 s clearance, how low can I get one?

(Sorry about Long Post) 2005 Sedan Winning Blue Interior Black 4 speed auto sport 810 cargo net 32 leather seats 507 auto dim mirror 240 rear spoiler 280 wheel locks 32 sport package 421 Miami-Fort Lauderdale Assesment 146.00 Invoice price is $19,253 (SPlan) MRSP is 20,685 Selling them from 3000 off MRSP. Here's the details $20,685 MRSP of Car w/options -3020.89 discounts ---------------- 17664.11 +698.89 dealer fee called Delivery charge/documentation fee +87.43 Taxable Total is : 18,456.93 6% + $50; 1157.41 19,614.34 +225 tag, title fee 19839 OTD Things I think I can get them to knock off are: 700 dollar Delivery Charge/Documentation (unneccessary Dealer profit) Auto Dim Mirror $240!! Take it out. 19839 - 940 ------ $18,899 I'll start my negoations there. Internet guy over phone told me if I come in he would give me Splan price for 2006 and 1,000 under s-plan for 2005 cars. So, I drove 20 miles, 19839 OTD is what the internet guy told me when I arrived. I didn't agrue about his price cause it seems like a great deal! But, seeing that he is adding a load of fees, and I didn't attempt to lower the price, when I go in tomorrow to purchase the car, I think I can drive away with a better deal than 19,839. He has 3 winning blues with same options from 2005. He also has about 18 2005 mazda 3 instock. So, with 2007 around the corner dealership has got be motivated to sell. Wish me luck, any advice, input would be appriciated.
