AT Sport @ about invoice (after $1750 incentive)
by abraindrainer on Sun Aug 02 09:07:01 PDT 2009
Just got a Mazda5 Sport Auto with ~$100 of options (MSRP ~$20k) for $17K+TTL. If I waited and pushed a bit harder it was probably possible to shave a few hundred more off this deal. Beware that the supply for these vehicles in DC/VA/MD area seems pretty thin right now... CFC is certainly to blame.

my experience with them was great. I negotiated the price with them prior to driving up there. I live in the DC area. I was trying to get them to come down by $200 on the price but they wouldn't move on the price. They knew they had the lowest price in the region. I went there, they had the car out there for me. I test drove it, signed the papers and I was out of there in less than 1 1/2hrs. I didn't require any financing through Mazda. The finance guy tried to sell me on the extras which I declined and he wasn't too happy about it. I guess that's where they make their money. I would check their web site, narrow down the car you want and call them. I dealt with Rob from the Annapolis location. He was very nice. That location had the car I wanted. Make sure you ask the guy you are dealing with to go out and check the car to make sure it has all the options they have listed before your drive down. And their processing fee is $99 and the price listed on their web site includes the destination charge. Good luck

I agree that the $1,750 cash incentive is national, so your DC example makes sense based on that. My point, though, is that there appears to be a separate, and additional $1,750 dealer incentive that is specifc to the MW states, at least until 8/3.

I have that CR report as well. I don't think it is right. I think that $1750 dealer incentive is national. Edmunds shows it as aval. and even more so I got a quote from a dealer in DC that was a cash quote and if I used ther special financing it would be $1750 more, just like the dealer incentive program reads.

It's certainly not unreasonable. Where are you at? I got my 09 Sport AT base for $17,144 OTD, including all taxes and fees. I'm in the DC area and the dealer is Castle Ford/Mazda/Mitsubishi.
