Today my wife and I purchased a Jeep Grand Cherokee from Kelly Jeep Chrysler (Lynnfield) and I feel compelled to write a few words to summarize our experience. First a word on pricing. Knowing a little bit about the industry, I believe that auto dealerships have a near impossible task trying to balance complex rebate structures initiated by the manufacturers against operating costs and consumers who believe that they are about to get ripped off. So with this in mind, our interaction with all of the staff at this dealership was outstanding. From the outset our sales person for the day (Corey Nance - who I would recommend to anyone) spent time understanding our needs and gave us a tour of the lot. We walked through the implications (and costs) of cash vs lease. He spent nearly 2.5 hours with us test driving, assisting our frequent changes of heart and reviewing features / price points until we were totally satisfied with the model we wanted to buy. Importantly Corey spent no time attempting to upsell features we didn't need. During our visit we were introduced to the GM for this branch (Andrew Turransky). Again Andrew was the consumate professional, clearly busy running a sales floor he was available to clarify details around leasing and option pricing. Unfortunately the final process of paperwork is always going to be a little painful. Their business manager (Tom) did an admirable job in this department, but it is never going to be fun hearing about some of the unavoidable extras (like the annual tax in Massachussetts). Ultimately I think that we got a sensible deal for a car that meets our needs 100%, and you can't ask for more than that. I would thoroughly recommend Kelly Chrysler Jeep (and in particular Corey) to anyone looking for a supportive car buying experience.
