Brake pads & Air Pressure
Written by 11/08/2015
onThe experience was positive.
1. And proactive toward a fault that is GM's design issue with EV brake systems. I would like to see Commonwealth share information on what GM is doing about brakes pads that require grinding down because of light use even though driving 10000 miles per year! Expensive maintenance not on the recommended list for attention per Commonwealth representative. While the price was reduced ("fair" for the action taken), to require such a costly maintenance this early in the vehicle life is disappointing (and does not appear "appropriate").
However, afterward I've come across an email from my car from that date:
2. Tires were rotated but the technician released the recommended pressure (38) on all tires down to the same (34) level - enough to cause an email alert from the car to me as of that date.
