outstanding customer service

This review is for Abdul Basit at Darcars Silver spring provided me with an outstanding sales and customer service experience. He was very detail oriented, patient and extremely professional throughout the sale process. I've been a VW car owner for years but the way he walked me through all the details and explained all the features to me after I test drove the car made me feel like I was seeing a VW car for the first time. I would highly recommend him to anyone and I am already doing.

My best car buying experience

Just bought my daughter a brand new Jetta from Darcars VW. All I'll say, best experience of my life in car buying. No nonsense and no games. It's amazing that Darcars online price is the best price in town because the price excludes all the rebates and incentives and includes destination charge unlike other dealers. I went to few other dealers with their attractive online prices and hit the wall. Thank you Darcars VW for being transparent and honest.

Great Buying Experience

Salesperson was efficient, courteous, and knowledgeable. Helped me to make sure I was interested in the right car and we went for a test drive immediately. The price I was offered was great and the financial process was professional and smooth. Before leaving I got a full tour of the Golf's features and even met with the DARCARS VW Service Manager. Would highly recommend.

Unprofessional, inconsiderate

My wife and I scheduled a visit with Naurice M., Sales Consultant, to see a car that we had previously seen earlier in the week. When we arrived, Naurice greeted us, told us that his manager would see us immediately, and then quickly left the showroom floor. We waited for over an hour in the showroom during Memorial Day weekend, yet the manager never came to speak with us. We were sitting in plain sight of the manager's office the entire time, and we were facing his office. The manager had greeted us when we arrived, and had indicated he knew who we were and why we were in the dealership. We eventually approached the manager to inquire where Naurice had disappeared to. The manager refused to look me in the eye, and told me "I was just about to come talk to you." He told us that another buyer had arrived 30 minutes before us, and had bought the car. After being told the situation by the manager, I called Maurice, who explained that he knew what had happened, but he was so upset about another sales person selling the car to another customer, that when we arrived he couldn't bring himself to tell us the truth. Naurice said that he knew the car was already sold to another buyer before we arrived. So, the manager's claim that he was "just about to come tell you" was dishonest. The manager was sitting in his office, joking with a service tech the entire time we were in the dealership. Nothing was keeping him from telling us the situation other than his own bad business acumen. If he or Naurice were in any way professional, they would have explained the situation when we arrived, not after they made us wait for an hour, and only after we requested an explanation. I have no issues with a dealership selling a car to the first interested buyer that makes an acceptable offer. The other buyer arrived first, so he got the car. That's all fair and good. I will not, however, accept unprofessional, inconsiderate behavior. I will not do business with this dealership in the future, and I would recommend to other car buyers that they steer clear of this DARCARS location. There are tens of thousands of cars for sales in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. If you time has value, and if you expect business people to respect your time and your commitments, you should deal with someone else.

Good sales service, honest manager

There are now two types of car dealerships; those whose sales people treat you like a business partner with whom they can create a profitable relationship, and the dinosaurs who are "ready to make you a deal", but don't seem to understand the term 'invoice price'. Happily, Darcars, under new management, has moved to the former camp. Their sales person gladly assisted me with a test drive, and while I have yet to decide what car and from whom to buy, my experience with Darcars was nothing but pleasant.

Horrible

Me and my husband went to this dealership to look at Touareg and when we approach it was a smaller with little selection. I was ok with that, but it seemed like a waste of time to my husband. about a10 minutes of looking around we were approach by one of the sales associates, who gave the normal sales pitch to entice us to buy. We like the vehicle but, their was little to no comprise with price and/or incentives to buy this vehicle. after an hour of back & fourth, the sales Manager comes out and was very annoying and condescending. My husband and just got up and left, the sales manager lost this sale over $2000. The next day my wife and I went to [another dealership]. Overall, VW at college Park was terrible.
