Hey! I don't know if you've already purchased your MINI, but we are selling our 2008 Clubman S with the convenience, premium, sport, and cold weather packages. It's the Hot Chocolate color with the dual sunroof and tan leather interior and chrome accents. We are in Pittsburgh, PA. Car is perfect, nothing wrong! 15,500 miles. It's like it's brand new. Feel free to let me know if you are interested. It's listed on AutoTrader.com.

where did he get such a discount? I am currently looking at getting a Mini Cooper S that has a sticker price of $27,450 but they are only knocking off 1,000 on it. I am planning on doing a 2yr lease and the MF and residuals are good, i was just hoping to get the car in the 25K range. any ideas ( I live in PA)

"Nope. Cash only deals cost dealers money. They have less interest in selling a car to you for cash than financing a car." True, but only on cars selling reasonably well. If you start getting "car lot queens", like S.Huge.V's lately, they'll begrudgingly negotiate. It's a poker game, and the table is in their cigar smoke filled basement - their only advantage, feel free to walk out. Apple Acura in York, PA tried to portray the Acura TL has a hot seller back in the Fall of 2006 when I knew sales were actually dismal. I offered them a cash offer, thousands off MSRP and they looked at me like I was a crackpot. A short drive down to the greater Baltimore area and my assessment of Acura TL sales was correct, the salesman immediately went to Edmunds.com and we negotiated from there. I remarked about a cash deal and negotiations went fever pitch. This was at Criswell Acura outside Baltimore. Tischer Acura had the same result and was much closer to my home and I ended up getting it there. A similar situation is now developing with Mini but it's topsy-turvy, the places like Pittsburgh are more reasonable while Baltimore sales are great and the salesmen are smug, it won't always be that way and I'll remember their attitudes in the future. Failure to recognize that market conditions change and failure to realize you may desperately need the customer in the future are the unforeseen enemies of the shafty salesmen.

Time to pull the trigger?

I drove the 06 MCS last year, and loved it. I just decided to wait for the 07. Now it's time to make a move, and I was looking at building one that stickers for $32,020. What rates are they offering on a 60 month finance? What can I expect to pay on a lease? 12k per year, total walk in cash of $1000.00, term, what ever is the best deal. 24-48 month? Just want to have some ammo, before I start the negotiations. Has anyone ever dealt with Otto's Mini, in West Chester PA?

Ok, Drove my first Mini S this past weekend at Otto's in West Chester, PA. Great car, great dealership. I'd buy the car today, except for one minor issue. The lease rates are insane! I drive a pair of 04 Mountainer's. The leases are up in a couple months, and I want 1 smaller, fun car. The Mountaineer listed for $40,000, and my payment is $325.00 per month, and I put 0 down. The resale on that thing is terrible. The Mini listed for $29,600. I was quoted $560/month! The resale is great, so I assumed they would offer a much better money factor. I know I paid 10k off sticker for the mountaineer, and I'm paying sticker for the Mini, I would think that the payment should br close. Has anyone leased an 06 S for around $325-$350 with $0 down?
