Good luck getting anything under MSRP. Some of the dealerships are adding additional markup. We got our 2007 (S) at Rasmussen BMW in Portland and paid sticker. There aren't alot of Mini's to choose from right now, and there's alot of interest in the new models.
The Wait Begins...

Just ordered my "S" Convertible from the Portland, OR dealer and have to wait eight months for delivery. I was in Denver two weeks ago and visited their Mini dealership and was told the wait was eight months for the "S" convertibles. The salesman in Denver claimed it is the highest demand Mini but has the lowest production allocation! :confuse: That doesn't make sense, but what can I say? Paid MSRP plus $175.00 for dealer prep/floor mats and put $1K down. My bank has a car buying negotiating service and they advised many of the west coast dealers are jacking up the price over MSRP so if you can find a dealer who will do MSRP (or less??? :D ) give them your business. Cheers. :)

I too am in Portland, OR and am seriously considering making an appointment with the MINI dealer here. Glad to hear about getting yours MSRP - overall, would you say your experience was a good one? Any suggestions/tips? Also, did the dealer indicate that delivery time was pretty standard? Seems so long when one falls in love with the car!

I just ordered a Mini Cooper. - Blue - Sport Package - White Bonnet Stripes - Luggage Rack - Foot Rest (hehe) - Cruise Control Steering Wheel MSRP was 20,040.......and thet is what the Mini dealer in Portland, OR sold it to me for. Of course there is a dealership fee of 175 (which includes floor mats, detailing, and a full tank o'petrol) and title and lisence fees of about 390 (which covers 4 years) I am pleased :P , I should take delivery in late July - early August.
