Leasing a Mini in NJ: by sml6 on Thu May 17 06:19:09 PDT 2007; Hello, Is the residual value different from 2007 Cooper to Cooper S? I'm new to the forum and new to the world of leasing, and am trying to plug in these numbers to get a better idea. I'm from NJ and one of the dealerships here quoted $410 for Cooper 24 months, 15,000 mi/yr with zero $down! And $489 for Cooper S. :confuse:

Its the Only Mini Dealer in MI. I checked Kelly Blue book even prior to purchasing my Mini. I checked first a 2006 Model - It had less than 1000.00 in depreciation ... even purchasing it 2nd party. I know for a fact that any other car would depreciate up to 7000K just from signing and driving it off the Dealer lot. My Dad sold Cars for 47 yrs .. Yes he did. And I learned throughout the years from him. My Mini Purchase was my First purchase of a Car in my life that I had " purchase power" on my own. Meaning I was able to Chose the vehicle of my choice on my Own without others inside you should, you could blah blah. I live in Michigan Automotive STATE ... Used to be our Motto. Its not the Automotive State any longer ...I can say. I worked in Automotive for 9 yrs myself. I know the inside of what is within the Build of a car - how many hours of design, engineering ..etc.. and it's really amazing that Any One can afford to Purchase any Vehicle at all. Experience in Morristown, NJ: by andhravodu on Mon Jan 21 20:18:39 PST 2008; I had purchased an '08 Yellow MCS from Morristown Mini in NJ. While there was some mis-communication and confusion, they went out of their way to clear it for me. I got Premium package, Cold weather package and Multi-function steering wheel. Total with Documentation fee ($350), delivery and registration was $25422. I put the deposit on Saturday and drove the car out Monday. Not too bad, I guess

Lease options for very low yearly miles?: by lowmiles on Fri Dec 21 13:26:46 PST 2007; I am interested in leasing a MINI for 36 months. However, because most my work is at my home office, and the rest requires out of state travel (via plane) my yearly car mileage averages between 5500 and 6250. In Europe, they offer many 8000 mi/per year leases as standard, but the lowest I've seen in the US is 10000. Can I negotiate a lower cost lease at a 7000 or 8000 miles-per-year cap? Thanks in advance for the feedback.

[jondc212]: by 07mcs on Fri Nov 09 14:25:39 PST 2007; Here is what I paid for my 2007 Cooper S a few months ago: MSRP: $25,800 3 yr / 36K mi lease / $291 per month Chilli Red with Black Bonnet stripes Premium Package Cold weather package Anthracite roofliner Brushed alloy interior 16" bridge spoke w/ performance tires $2500 out-of-pocket includes first month's payment, security deposit, tax, title, fee, etc. I remember I checked every dealer along the North-East coast and no one was willing to give that deal except Habberstad Mini NY. Talk to Maureen there (if you wish to go to NY).

Nice guys again. I have to give the sales crew an 8 of 10: I guess with every other new car purchase(6)there's always been something that they tried to squeeze. The only reason I can't give this dealer a 10 was b/c of the finance guy's (mis)guidance. That all said, this was a (mostly) cash deal, not a lease. $26650 +tx & lic & fees, MCS, 6-spd, w/Sport, Hi-Fi, LDS, Cloth & Color line, Auto AC, rear fogs, white turn sig, Auto dim mirror. No nitrogen air in tires and no dealer added alarm. Not exactly what I wanted, but I'm happy :) .
