Lease rates for a Clubman S?: by jmitchell74 on Sat Aug 29 07:10:09 PDT 2009; Thanks for all the great info already on this thread! I'm about to order a Clubman S and looking at a 10k mi/yr or 12k mi/yr lease. Car_man, you mentioned that the rates are different for each model, do you have the current rates for the Club S? Also, does anyone know for sure if these rates can be locked in on a car that is ordered? And lastly it seems like they may be transitioning to the 2010 model year--does that mean completely new rates? Thanks so much in advance, glad a forum like this is around. Jonathan

I picked up my 09 MCS about a month ago from Motor City Mini in Shelby MI. They handled the financing but because of the rates offer by BMWFS it was much better to go with a local CU that they deal with. I got 5.6% on a 60mo loan.

Nearest dealer to me - I'm in Louisville - is Cincinnati MINI. Held me back for quite a while to have the nearest dealer 90 mi away. Maybe you want to talk to them as well as Dreyer & Reinbold..... does D&R have a good rep? I know a few folks both here and in Cinci that thinks Cincinnati MINI is pretty good..... I will find out, I guess. As I said, they were straight up MSRP pricing. But it still holds that a demo MIGHT not be a good deal - what you're saying is having them waive the doc fess (about $250?) and dest ($650): I don't know, for about 3% of the price, is it worth it? If we were talking about a Lincoln Navigator or Camry demo, yeah it's only been softly driven. But a MINI ?!?! As stated before, I myself was quite tough on the demo (but I didn't go to D&R, so abused demos there are not my fault !!!)

I've worked up a lease proposal based on the only numbers I could find (I think these are Aug-08 numbers for the last 2008 models): 09 MCS, 36 mo, 36K mi Base MF: 0.00219 Residual: 64% (62% @ 15K/yr + 2% for 12K/yr) Base Acq Fee: $625.00 It would be great to know if these have changed for the 09 model (residual higher?) before I present it to my dealer. Re: MF and Residuals on '08 Cooper (non S) [Car_man]: by gcotterman on Fri Jun 13 14:28:50 PDT 2008; Hi Car Man, Just receied a quote from Midwestern Auto Group in Columbus Oh on 2 and 3 year leases with 76% and 66% residuals respectively (10,000 mi/yr). Also the quote included a money factor of .00359 which seemed a little high. Payments were 348 and 359/mo with 3k down. Do you know what BMW's money factors are right now? Thanks, gman71
