Mini Coopers S Lease Question-HELP by jorgedbernal on Sat Jan 17 16:23:56 PST 2009

Hello CarMan... I have a lease question, Im wondering whether I should pull the trigger on this deal. Here are the stats...this deal is in Miami, Florida. 2009 Mini Cooper S MSRP: 27450.00 Selling price $25950.00 Money Factor: 0.00290 Residual Value 67% Lease end value $18391.56 $602.19 Cash Down Total Add Cap Cost: $925.00 $2000 Inception 36 Month Lease 10k miles Monthly Payment $372.85 including tax. FYI: These figures were taken directly from the Mini Saleperson worksheet, I took a picture of it and can email it to you if you need to look it over. Is this a good deal? We walked out, and 15 minutes later we got a call saying that the lowest they can go is $342.00 including tax. What should I do? Please help and thank you!!!

Re: Mini Clubman doc fees [fata] by mikefm58 on Sat Aug 23 14:31:28 PDT 2008

The financing won't make a difference, that's why they call it a "doc fee". Paying MSRP plus the $600 doc. fee probably isn't too bad, but I would work like heck to reduce it. I would even look at some of the other dealers from Jacksonville to Miami.

Re: Ordering a Mini... [joshrtek3] by scorpio9 on Sun May 06 17:51:43 PDT 2007

Hey Josh, I live in Miami, Fl. I had to special order my car which the last week of Feburary, 2007 - ALL I had to give them was $1000.00 which they never cashed. My final total on the car came to $33,400.00-$34,000.00 (07 Mini S Convert; Pepper White, includes Premium & Sport packages with 17" 5 spoke rims additioanl $500.00 /wheels & black bonnet strips), I has to get it stick (manual) what a difference in speed), Leatherette ( I already have a cr with leather and with times it gets destroyed) cockpit $300.00, interior $200.00(same color as the outside if the car)and I purchased for $450.00 a 4 year plan or 40,000.00 miles whichever comes first (don't remember exactly which one but out of the four to choices I purchased the most expensive.) I didnt relealize that the tires I purchased are not repairable hence, no patches or plugs. they are no run flat tires, if I get a flat or a nail in the tire I have 80 miles to reach a tire dealer had the dealer a piece of paper (I was given at Mini) to them and must replace my tire for FREE EXACT same ones. I will have you know that these tires run about $360.00 a pop. So its just something for you to think about. Good Luck I LOVE MY MINI S CONVERT and I have NO REGRETS especially with the extras'

Re: got my Mini [pjo1966] by scorpio9 on Thu May 03 12:26:30 PDT 2007

Hello, I special ordered my 07 Mini S Convert in Feb 07 and just picked it up yesterday (well worth the wait) I financed the Mini through a Credit Union - the rates are unbelievable. BMW was ridiculous. Here are a few examples: 48 mon 5.15%; 60 months 5.65% via- a credit union. Mind you I have been with the same bank for over 11 years, purchased my first car through them, I have excellent credit 850 and they didn't even come close to the rates offered through a credit union. Lease vs purchase - I don't see myself having a car payment for the rest of my life.- NO WAY. besides the difference is dollars. / Miami, FL- GOOD LUCK!!
