Re: 2010 Mini Lease price questions -- San Francisco, CA [fkerrest] by Car_man on Mon Mar 22 03:22:59 PDT 2010

Hi fkerrest. The special 1.9% rate is for conventional finance contracts only. If you want to lease, you will have to use a different rate...a money factor of .00180. That factor is equivalent to an interest rate of around 4.3%. The prices that you listed in your post all look like this vehicle's MSRP. While the dealer margins on Minis are not huge, I suspect that you will be able to negotiate some sort of dealer discount if you shop around. Plus Mini is officially offering some free options on this car right now. Have you tried comparison shopping yet? If not, you may want to see if you can beat this deal. If it is at full MSRP, as it appears, then you may very well be able to do so. Car_man Host Prices Paid: Buying & Leasing Experiences Forum

Good places to sell used Mini by blueguydotcom on Sun Feb 01 21:43:33 PST 2009

Any suggestions for good places to sell a used 2007 Mini Cooper S? Auto Trader Craigs List And...?

Re: The eternal question ... 91 or 89 gas? [Don_C] by blueguydotcom on Wed Jan 21 20:07:17 PST 2009

Yes, you can use 87. The engine will produce even less power (the ecu will retard the car's power so you don't damage the engine) and it will be less efficient. With gas so cheap, i can't fathom why people would buy a car and then worry about $3 a fill-up. If $150 a year makes that much difference, maybe a new car isn't the best economic choice? I fill up my Cooper S 3 times a month. Always with premium. Then again, I find the power in my Cooper S to be adequate - but I push it to 4-5k rpm on most shifts. I would notice less HP.
