Sales Rating:

The worst dealership I have ever been to

This is, hands down the worst dealership I have ever been to. Starting off with the "meet and greet" at the front door all the way to driving off the lot with less than a half tank of gas in my new auto, this dealership lacks SERIOUS customer service. Finally I just gave in because I really wanted the Jeep, To top off an end to a 3 1/2 hour negotiation war, I went into the finance office only to be told they made a $1,300.00 mistake with the amount after we already signed off on the deal. The process of getting a good deal is grueling and they will nickel and dime you all the way through. They also said they would fill up my tank with gas (for my new auto purchase) and they didn't.

I bought my Jeep in 2008 and I am still so upset with the whole transaction that it burns just to think about it. You should check the reviews for your dealership on Google, all of those reviews are negative as well. I only hope the way customers are handled at your dealership impacts the success of your business. Do you realize what goes on in your finance office? Not only was the price of my jeep increased due to a mistake in the negotiation but I was over charged by 600 dollars in Louisiana title/tax, then asked to sign a waiver giving Bergeron the authority to handle "paperwork" for the taxes. I found out after doing my own research that I was severely overcharged and the "paperwork" Bergeron was referencing is actually the amount overpaid to Louisiana to be mailed back in a check form and giving Bergeron the right to cash the check for the difference. For example, Bergeron quoted the State tax/title/registration at 1300.00, for which I paid 1300.00 then Bergeron asked me to sign a waiver. The finance person explained the waiver as "just in case something is wrong, this allows us to fix it without you having to come back in". The actual tax and title amount owed was a little over 700... this is 600 over what was quoted. Then the waiver allows Bergeron to cash the check for the difference. Bergeron never contacted me about the overcharge, I found out by doing my homework. I was given a check for the difference AFTER the BBB was contacted. I was never given a second key for my vehicle as promised, I was never given a "detail" cleaning as promised and my tank was never filled up all the way as promised. Instead I was overcharged, quoted one price then when we got to the finance office was told the finance office "made a mistake" so the price was increase over 1300 then left to fight and argue just to get what was fair.

Dear nola123, I have recently come across your review, and it concerns me to read about the experience you had at our dealership. We have been a family owned business for 43 years and yes we do make mistakes, yet we do have an open door policy for customers to bypass any employee they feel may have wronged them and go directly to the owner. It has been some time since you purchased your vehicle and I would like to see if there is anything I can do to help change the review you have written. It is difficult to resolve such matters when we have no idea who the customer is, so if you could kindly respond to this message with some details about yourself and your experience I will gladly look into the matter. Very Respectfully, McLean Bergeron Director of Online Communications

I too experienced horrible service from Bergeron Volvo. Rude and arragant, to say the least. Didn't want to negotiate and I told him I would drive to Alabama or Florida if I got the right deal. His reply why wouldn't you want to keep the purchase in your home town. We offer loaner car etc. I told him I don't know a soul that would buy that line of goods when it comes to a large purchase. Hung up the phone and called Mobile- very good customer service. and I was the SECOND person that week that called from my area and didn't and couldn't negotiate with Bergeron. Interesting, Now I'm ready to purchase and Bergeron is not a consideration.
