2006 IS 250 lease expires Jan 2009: by ajk27 on Mon Apr 28 14:09:53 PDT 2008; Hi all, I have leased a 2006 IS 250 with the following details Miles/yr == 12k Down payment == $4500 Monthly Payment = $407 (included tyre protection) Residual Amount = $22,000 I now have 21 K miles on the car and have maintained it in the best condition with all servicing done at the Pohanka Lexus Dealership in Chantilly, VA. I have a few questions abt the car now. 1) I do not wish to spend $250 for this 20K miles servicing? is it a big deal if i do it from a non-dealer and what precautions should i take ? 2) Does anyone know of a good place in this(NoVA) area to do this servicing? 3) what would be a few things/catch that i should look for when returning the car to the dealer after the terms of the lease ends? 4) how do i bargain if i want to keep the car?

first time car buyer questions: by milym on Wed Apr 16 05:22:34 PDT 2008; I am planing to buy a Lexus ES350 2008 here are my questions: 1) does Lexus usually have the "end of summer sale" to get rid of the 2008 model? I know Audi and Volvo had it last year. but people say that Lexus never has it. is it true? or should I wait for the sale? how much they can cut down from invoice? 2) I talked to a couple of dealers, here is the situation. when I told them that how much the invoice of the car they have it is from edmunds, they argued that they have many other accessaries that I can not find from the options at edmunds? are these just some tricks? how do I deal with it? 3) From the news it says now the car market is like house market--it is buyer's market. what is the reasonable price for this 2008 ES 350 in D.C.-MD-VA area? any help would be highly appricated.

We went to Pohanka Lexus in Chantilly , VA and they were offering the car for almost 3000 over the invoice. We would like to pay invoice or some reasonable amount over the invoice. I'm ready to buy this week for the right price. I was quoted $49,967 "best price" (MSRP $54,700) by a Chantilly, VA dealership. Any thoughts/tips would be hugely appreciated!

I got my '08 RX350 with nav, rear b/up cam etc for 39k + TTT in VA. :shades: Additionally, the dealer also offered an incredible & unbelievable deal for extended warranty. New buyers may want to consider this. It is 7yr/100K mile ext warranty for 2200. The beauty is, if you don't use the warranty anytime, you can get a total refund as long as you haven't used it !! :) good luck to all shoppers. reg, BlrChi
