Buying a car from a Lexus Car Dealer
a sales price around 42,772 on an msrp of 47385 would be inline with what most people are reporting on the east coast.I listed a couple below that reported they have purchased. Many have reported the best offers they can get are on the high end of the deals mentioned below. rick in Va 43,700 on msrp 48,250 eastside in NY/NJ 42,500 0n msrp 48,259 dennis in MD 43,875 on msrp 48,259 CT audi in FL 42,200 on msrp 47,644 Adam NY/NJ 41,850 on msrp 48259 Many on the west coast are reporting much better prices. Also keep in mind .... this is the internet .... it is possible some may overstate the deal they got. Many are frustrated trying to get the same deal, in the same area, as reported in the forum .... when several dealers let you walk, after making a similar offer as reported .... sorta makes you wonder. Good luck
Purchased a New 2010 ES350 today, with the "standard" East Coast Premium Package and a few other options but no Nav., with a sticker of $37,875. I negotiated it to $34,000 + TTL. Talk to Bill L. from Prestige Lexus of Ramsey NJ. Great dealership, Bill was real good , a really good and true and honest buying experience! Joe the finance man was great too. You can help pay for the car using a Lexus credit card that they issue on the spot, you get up to $10,000 cash advance at 0 % interest to help pay for the car. Also as part of that deal you get $500 in free goods or services from any Lexus dealer. Good for oil changes, tires, parts, repairs, anything. The remainder can be financed for up to 60 months at 2.9%. Mine is a black on black beauty. The only question I have is: Why did I wait so long to do this? Buy the way, Ray Catena Lexus in Larchmont NY was at $34,866. Greenwich Lexus of Greenwich Ct was at $34,600 but agreed to come down $200 to $400 more if I came and purchased that day. Prestige Lexus told me they are the 3rd largest of the 100 plus Lexus dealers in the USA. They have a huge inventory, a beautiful dealership and they had my car in stock. Highly recommended. Thanks to all who helped me! Hopes this helps someone else. Contact the internet person at your dealer. Tell them you are up on prices, invoice price, etc. and have a price qoute from another dealer. Ask if what they can do for you. Go back and forth between all your local dealers. Tell them you will buy today or tomorrow if they meet your price. Good luck!
That is interesting to say the least...I thought all states taxed just about the same way...I an Nj and I okanning to buy from Fitx automall in MD and according to the sale people there...I will get a temp driving plate to get the car from MD to NJ...and then when I register the car in NJ I will pay the NJ tax then....according to them the same happens with NY,CT,MA and the states that the had done business with...you guys shoul move EAST...lol...good luck to all...great forum.
coolmom:One of the dealers I spoke to told me that, in the North East the RX350's predominantly fall into 2 packages. 1) Premium Package only which makes the MSRP $43591 and 2) Premium Package plus Nav which makes the MSRP $46241. I had a different dealer call the car I wanted the 43591. When I spoke to the dealers in my area, as soon as I said no to Nav they all said that there was almost none left. Most of the 2009 RX350's left over in the NE seem to have Nav preinstalled in addition to the Premium Package. I spoke to my car concierge service today and he indicated that if the price was low that I should consider getting a car with Nav but I told him that I didn't want it. Most of the people I know with Lexus Navigations find them to be unreliable and not very good at getting you from point A to point B. I would prefer buying a new Garmin and making sure that I don't get lost. Have you tried dealers out of state? Before I decided upon using a car concierge service I contemplated contacting Lexus dealers in more financially pressed states. Dealers in certain states such as Florida, Michigan and IL seem to be more flexible when it comes to price. (even on this forum!) Also I'm pretty sure that cost of delivery if they charge cannot be that much. My cousin shipped his car to Asia from NYC, it was only $1500. Which if you are able to get the deal like that person on this forum from SF who closed on a Premium plus Nav car for 33k makes it more than worth it to deliver from out of state. At least it would be if you were in an area like NY where the same car is going for 37K plus!!
5K below Invoice?? Do you think they will ship to New York? I've been trying to get quotes on this car from various NY dealers but I am not getting anywhere near the same prices I'm seeing online. If I could get it even 3K below invoice I would buy asap. The supply in the North East is just more limited from what I understand. Which totally sucks. I was wondering if anyone had experiences of buying a car in New Jersey when living in New York. Pros and Cons? I've heard some service horror stories when bringing a car in for service at a dealer you did not buy the car from. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
