I forgot to mention, one of my favorite things about the TSX is it comes with NAV or without. Stick or Automatic. My wife's Black/Black TSX is a handsome vehicle. The biggest difference you'll find between the 2006 & the 2010 is probably going to be the steering. The 2009-2010 have electric power steering which does a decent job communicating @ higher speeds, but just feels too artificial at low to mdrange speeds. I know it saves gas, but give me a good old hydraulic pwer steering unit like my '01 Prelude Type SH. I LOVE BMW. They are probably my favorite car company. When you put just a few options in the cars, they do tend to get pricey. My Mom has an '08 328xiA that isn't even completely loaded up (No NAV or Sports Pkg) & her car stickered for over $46,000. Don't cross them off completely though. Don't take what's on the lot, instead order a 328i with sports pkg, 6 spd stick, sunroof, ipod adap, & sirius (MSRP just under $40K) - you won't be disapointed. You do get what you pay for though. A TSX is a FWD European Accord. With a 3 series, you are getting a dedicated RWD chassis. Acura and BMW are probably going to have at least one stick shift car on the lot. I think the CTS V is one bad dude. $60K new is a big pill to swallow, but if you can find a year old one, maybe GM depreciation will place it well within your grasp. Good luck!

Re: RX 350 Price Discount [jerryd310] by svofan2 on Fri Apr 09 18:36:20 PDT 2010

Dear friend, from one retiree to another, I do understand the purchasing power of "group buying" but this what I objected to and I hope that you got your facts mixed up because otherwise you and your group are NOT getting such a great deal (of course it dependes on what part of the country we are talking about, here in NY,NJ,CT area there are plenty of dealers competing for sales). This is my reasoning,RX 350 (Nav,prem, conv, wood leather wheel and shifter, towing, etc) msrp is $47260 approx (according to Edmunds and I might be off a few dollars),invoice $42406 (again approx) and tmv $43159. Now if you say 5% above invoice that will be $2120 plus $42406 equals $44526 which as you can see it is way above the average being paid. That is the reason why I thought you might have been a salesperson trying to attract prospective buyers. Please no harm intended on my part but I am considering buying an RX 350 and I am looking at all the possible angles for a fair price (I got time to shop around). What part of the country are you from?..mind you that if it is a good deal I wont mind traveling to your dealer for a fair deal, unless is more than a 400 miles radius from NJ. Good luck to you and your buying group.

Re: 2010 RX350 AWD NY/NJ LEASE [manalive] by sympl123 on Tue Dec 01 16:58:11 PST 2009

I have my own spreadsheet :) The terms look very attractive, but the math still does not add up. So you decided to up your mileage from 12K to 15K, which reduced your residual from 62% to 60%, and I guess this is a 36m lease, so according to my calculations you should be paying about $565/month. Not sure how they came up with this $600 number. It's almost like they charge you tax twice or something... Can you double-check the terms with them?

Re: $1K under MSRP [kyfdx] by svofan2 on Sat Aug 22 18:11:56 PDT 2009

That is interesting to say the least...I thought all states taxed just about the same way...I an Nj and I okanning to buy from Fitx automall in MD and according to the sale people there...I will get a temp driving plate to get the car from MD to NJ...and then when I register the car in NJ I will pay the NJ tax then....according to them the same happens with NY,CT,MA and the states that the had done business with...you guys shoul move EAST...lol...good luck to all...great forum.
