Buying a car from a Lexus Car Dealer

Re: Atlanta area [carbuff29] by rick9194 on Sun Jun 27 06:52:12 PDT 2010

a sales price around 42,772 on an msrp of 47385 would be inline with what most people are reporting on the east coast.I listed a couple below that reported they have purchased. Many have reported the best offers they can get are on the high end of the deals mentioned below. rick in Va 43,700 on msrp 48,250 eastside in NY/NJ 42,500 0n msrp 48,259 dennis in MD 43,875 on msrp 48,259 CT audi in FL 42,200 on msrp 47,644 Adam NY/NJ 41,850 on msrp 48259 Many on the west coast are reporting much better prices. Also keep in mind .... this is the internet .... it is possible some may overstate the deal they got. Many are frustrated trying to get the same deal, in the same area, as reported in the forum .... when several dealers let you walk, after making a similar offer as reported .... sorta makes you wonder. Good luck

Re: $1K under MSRP [pp2009pp] by closenough on Thu Aug 20 08:01:03 PDT 2009

I did exactly that back in 2003 on a 2004 RX. No price negotiation back then on the east coast. Lot's of dealers and heavy competition out west. RX was shipped from CA to NJ for around $800, 4 to 5 weeks. Certificate of Origin was Fedex'd to me. I went to motor vehicle and paid local tax. No California tax was paid. Good luck!

Re: ES350 IN NJ area [jreyna] by radar6 on Wed Aug 12 08:24:39 PDT 2009

jreyna did you order a Black Sapphire or is there one coming in? I bought the Black Sapphire with a grey interior. You will like the color its very nice. Ours came with WF,Z1,NV,PT,HL,PA,WU,BE,FS and BM was added by dealer and thrown in to deal. The only option we would have liked was the HN power sun shade which doesn't come in our area. Didn't know how long it would have taken to get car. I saw car with HN listed in mid west. Whats an extra $210 when your spending close to 40K.

Re: 2009 ES350 w/Premium Pkg & Nav [bigal728] by pennoyer on Thu Jun 25 15:07:06 PDT 2009

Hey bigal728 - I was just in a NY dealership for 2 hours and they wouldn't budge past $38,100 either. I ended up leaving because I received an online quote from a dealership in NJ for $37,800 - but how are others getting quotes in the mid $36's??? Is the pricing different out west?

Re: Price paid for the RX 350 navi 2009 [Earnhardt88] by rx350shopper on Tue Dec 16 14:21:53 PST 2008

I got it from Tri-County Lexus, 700 Route 46 West, Little Falls, NJ 07424 Beware of the accounting. When I checked my loan numbers, they tried to increase my loan on $400 just doing the incorrect math. They charge extra $198 for the window etching with the cars VIN#. My car does not have it but they are not returning the money I paid. They charge $160 just for old plates to be transferred, that is not includung 1 year registration. They asked me to pay additional $200 for the new plates and a new registration.
