Warnock Lexus NJ had a Black Obisidian, Brown interior, premium, nav, appearance pkg (19" wheels) BUT NO COMFORT for significantly below invoice. I was considering this but did not want the 19" and the color was not my first choice. rgds

Yippee! Just picked up my shiny new car! by dancingdiva on Sat Dec 24 10:56:09 PST 2011

Hi All, Just picked up my gorgeous new Lexus AWD RX in tungsen pearl with light gray interior. I'm over the moon happy! Now I have to spend all day learning all the gadgets lol. Tough work but someone has to do it ! This is my first AWD so maybe this year I can actually get up my driveway in our CT snow. It has Nav, Comfort, Premium, Preferred Accessories pkg, Parking Assist (what a hoot that is), Wood/Leather steering and the 12 speaker prem sound. Total MSRP $49,360.00 Invoice $45,161.00 (includes the $607 ad fee all the dealers up here add in.) Could not find a dealer in the Tri-state area (CT/NY/NJ) who would even fess up to the coupons and few had the color and equipment I wanted. Bravo to you all who got that extra $1000 off. I felt bad at first that I couldn't get that too but my final negotiated price was still a decent $261 under invoice and they gave me a better trade in price on my 12 year old Acura, which was more money off the price and less tax. That was an absolute plus. The dealership and their service dept are great and they are only 11 miles away. Waiting for my body side moldings (forgot about getting them til I picked up the car rofl) to come in early next week and I'll be all set. BTW, I took the service plan as Lexus seems so expensive for every little thing. It will save almost $1500 in the long run for my plan. Thanks to Hondaman and all the rest of you kind folks who responded and held my hand through this process. My first experience here was buying a new Honda for my Mom this summer at a great price too. I'm glad I came back and hopped onto this Lexus forum for all your kind help. I know it saved me big bucks and actually got me in the driver's seat. Wishing you all a happy healthy holiday season and a great New Year in your new shiny wheels! xox diva (now the car matches the attitude! LOL)

Lease About Up: Good News is FMV seems Higher than Buy Out: Now What? by nyc6035 on Wed Sep 21 17:47:24 PDT 2011

Time flys! Way back in post 1114 in this thread I posted my lease deal - during the start of the recession. I think I got a great deal. My buy out price in the the mid20's and the fmv seems to be $30-32K. Vehicle is in good shape, low miles and all the rest is all good. My lease ends in mid-Dec. The dealer came calling the other day and spoke to my wife (who's name the lease is in) and said we may have value in the car. The said we should visit the dealer so they can inspect the car and consider if they want to make us a deal (higher than the buy out price). She did ask about how that works in terms of taxes (leases only charge you for the portion you 'own' not the entire vehicle in New York)...they said if the deal was done with them (they are a NJ dealer) there would be no tax event. We would have the choice of buying/leasing a new vehicle or walking away with the buyout dollars. OK...now for the question - I'm generally suspicious of too good to be true...and of car dealers especially....I know it's rare for a lease to have meaningful value at termination - but does anyone have experience with this 'problem.' THX!

Agreed to the deal from Freehold Lexus in NJ. RX350 AWD with Navigation package (I believe MSRP is $48600). 36mo, 10K miles per year. $555 per month (including taxes), $1700 initial payment(includes 1st payment, Bank fee, Doc fee, and title/registration charges). It also includes 1k loyalty rebate and one payment for my current lease. I probably could of done a little better then that, but I think it is a good deal.

Re: Anybody has good purchase experience in NJ [gr8trfool] by szack on Sat Mar 19 21:26:10 PDT 2011

I just purchased a brand new Lexus RX 350 2011 with 8 miles in Chicago for $41,000 plus doc fee, tax, title etc. The car comes with Z1 package with premium and accy packages, but no nav. What I learned is that the MFSP was $44,850, and the dealer would offer $42850, and $41,000 is a reasonable point because the invoice price is around $40,889. We purchased an extended warranty of 4 yours, and the interests rate dropped from 2.9% to 2.25% for 60 months. The price is about $ 400 lower (all the same package) if the car was delivered to the dealer store before Feb. 2011.
