Buying a car from a Lexus Car Dealer

NJ Lexus Car Consumer Discussions

Re: 2008 AWD w/ navi [ahalyaa] by mar1an1 on Sun Dec 19 11:13:26 PST 2010

We decided to go with the BMW instead. The Lexus salesperson came back to us after stalling us for 3 days with "Sorry, the car has been sold. Perhaps I may interest you with another car?" AS IF!!! I laughed so hard because this was expected. They didn't want to show the car service record from the get go although like you said, it's just a matter of calling the service department and providing the VIN. The only Lexus dealership in North Jersey that has been descent to us (compares to the others in the area) is Warnock Lexus in Parsippany/Whippany area. Straight to the point, no haggling type of BS. Avoid Prestige Lexus unless you can speak directly to the Sales Manager who was more descent than those reporting to him, and certainly avoid Tricounty Lexus at all cost. Aside from the fact of their jerking around, a friend of mine purchased 2 CPOs from tricounty lexus and it was a nightmare. The sales people put down that they would fix all the dents/scratches on the car upon delivery in the purchase contract. When my friend picked up the car, not only it wasn't preped .... The sales manager screamed the heck out of the sales person in front of my friend to the point that it was embarassing for all parties to be around. Why would an employer put their employees' dignity at a cross line in public, especially during a professional business transaction is certainly beyond me. This just goes to show the type of PROFESSIONALISM that this dealership shows. I hope that I've saved whomever reading this post some time and set his/her expectation over these North NJ Lexus dealerships.

Northern New Jersey- 2010 RX 350 by wclbanker on Sat Aug 28 06:32:38 PDT 2010

I'm dreading the process of going to my local Lexus dealer (Prestige) and negotiating the purchase of a fullly loaded (including navigation) RX350. I'm looking for a 3 year lease at 12,000 miles per year with upfront front money to a minimum. A friend was just quoted a price of $609 per month with $1858 due at signing by Prestige Lexus. I'm relatively new at this game and looking for fair deal. Anyone buy/lease recently in the Northern NJ/NY Metro market that can share the specifics of their deal? Is $609 + $1858 too much? Thx

Anybody willing to get together for buying AWD RX in NJ/NY by adam2009 on Mon May 10 17:57:03 PDT 2010

Greetings, Anybody willing to get together for buying AWD RX 350 with CP in New YorkJ/New Jersey. I have already a friend who is already interested. We are planning to go to Prestige Lexus at Ramsey-NJ --they seem to be very good a getting a lower price that any of NY dealers as they are one of biggest volume dealers of Lexus in tristate area. Just send me a msg and we could plan out. I think we will be able to get a good deal if we do a bulk purchase... Thank
