Lease Quotes - Comments Please?

Hello everyone, I have received the following lease quote from a local Lexus dealer in my area (Florida). Can I get some feedback on this from the group? I was hoping for a IS250 w/ Navigation with little to no money down and payments around $450, but this is what they sent. I'm also considering an Acura TL, which I seem to have received better pricing on (I suspect this is because of the new body coming in 2009). 2008 Lexus IS250 RWD (6spd MT) Vehicle Base Model ..........................:$ 30455.00 18" Wheel Package ...........................$ 830.00 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----- Total Accessories .................................: $ 830.00 Destination Charge ...............................: $ 765.00 Total .......................................: $ 32050.00 Lease Term: 36 Total Payment: 441.14 Out of Pocket: 1,000.00 MSRP: 32,050.00 Residual: 18,589.00 Mileage: 12,000

My recommendation would be to go to the large volume dealers like Watertown, Ira in Norwood or Herb Chambers. I personally worked with Lexus of Watertown. I used several of the pricing options on the various web sites, like Edmunds, myride.com, etc. If you use a zip code near the dealer location, these sites will send your info to the web person at the dealership. I made my entire deal with 3 e-mails and one phone call. I walked into the dealership with the price and options decided, all I had to do was select a color. I would caution you that most dealers won't be as flexible with 2008s as they were with 2007 models. Mt guess is you could still find a 2007 470 with a stocker of $55.5K and a sales price around $48K. A 2008 model will sticker for $1400 less so let's say $54K but you will struggle to get much less than a $52K price. For the same vehicle with really minor changes, do you want to pay $4K more? Good Luck Steve

I was offered this car with just a preffered package MSRP 32,600 sales price - 30,000. I have a feeling invoice should be 28-29K so i don't know if it's a good deal. Also does anybody know what is the Money Factor for lower credit scores - mid 600s ?

IS 250 really weak

Test drove IS 250 RWD with MT, and .... got very disappointed with performance. It is nice inside and out, top of the line features and options, but it is sloooowwww.... in comparison with my Acura RSX Type S, which has the same 200 horses on a V4 engine. I expected a lot more from V6. It is really underpowered. Even at hi RPM's it is not responsive. I pushed it to about 5500 rpm and...felt nothing. My RSX really kicks in at about 5.5 - 6K RPM's. If you're looking for a thrill, look elsewhere.

Got a quote from Arlington Lexus in Palatine, IL: IS250 RWD with MT + Premium Package $32064 - $5500 trade in 58% residual 0.00265 MF 36 mo 15K miles Total: $399/mo (tax included) Not sure if a few other fees are included like security deposit, aquisition fees, etc. This seems to be right on the money, same numbers pretty much that most lease calculators give on this values. I was told that Base model without any package will be hard to get, up to 90 days waiting period. I also wanted 18in wheels, but looks like they only available for RWD AT or AWD trim. Strange...
