MI Lexus Car Consumer Discussions

Re: Seattle vs. Portland [joeletaxi] by jmirolli on Mon Dec 19 18:08:03 PST 2005

I just ordered a IS250 AWD Glacier Frost with Nav/grey interior and MANAGED to get $1000 off after calling dealers in 3 different states (IN,MI,& PA) MSRP was around $37,700 - $1000 = $36,700. I live in Indiana and the dealer in Lansing Michigan finally took off 1k.(They also have 2 out of the 5 GM plants in the US that are closing down and figured they might move a little due to the economy) Everyone else I spoke to stated the December to Remember doesn't apply and wouldn't even talk about a discount. Simple rule of supply & demand that sucks for us as consumers. Going to take 4 weeks for delivery and if I went with black interior would have taken 3 months. The car is SICK so the 4 weeks is worth the wait. I just hope they raise the MSRP in 2006 so we all don't take it on the chin when we drive it off the lot. Looking for some feedback on the Glacier Frost exterior color.Has anyone seen it and what did you think?

Re: Dealers in Michigan within 500 miles? [jman14188] by egrmi on Fri Aug 20 05:12:51 PDT 2004

I was successful negotiating a lease deal with Lexus of Lansing (Michigan)on a Lexus RX330 with a Premium Package Plus Options (MSRP $41,208) for $37,900. The local Lexus dealership in Grand Rapid refused to go lower than $38,495. The Grand Rapids dealership was very pleasant to work with but wanted proof of my deal with Lansing. Since my dealings with Lansing were done over the phone I could not provide the proof. Because Lansing stepped up to the plate and gave me best deal (without any negotiation) I felt compelled to sign with them. The Grand Rapids dealership could have had my business but would not make the commitment.

Had local SE MI dealer match Chicago by huron on Thu Jan 22 19:29:31 PST 2004

Good thread with good advice. Thanks. Just ordered a Flint Mica, AWD, Nav Lev, Heated FS, Towing +Pref Access Package. 18" Alu wheels. Came out to be $41,989, which is about 3k off msrp. There are only 4 Lexus dealers in SE MI and 3 didn't want to match. However, got the Lansing dealership to match, and so far to good.
