Buying a car from a Lexus Car Dealer
Has anyone checked out any of the other MA dealers, other than IRA and Watertown. There's Herb Chambers, Norwood and Northborough just to name a few in the same general area. Any info?
MSRP was $47.7. Purchased at Lexus of Watertown. I did get Lexus of Norwood to $42K as well, but LofW gave me $1500 more for my trade. LofW is very aggressive when they think Norwood might get the business. I was reluctant to purchase from Watertown because they have had a bad reputation in the past, but that has definitely changed with new management that has been in place for about 18 months. They've turned the place around and I was very happy with them this time around.
Surely... I bought mine from Herb chambers lexus in Norwood, MA. Its right off of exit 9 on I-95. Additionally I went there the last day of the month. That really helped. And generally dealers would be more willing to make a deal on something they already have in their inventory than something they have to order. Not that you should compromise on your color or option selection, but sometimes it might mean a huge discount. I didnt want the 19" wheels but went with it since this was such an awesome deal.

I thought I had a good deal on a list price $39,087 car with a $1600 discount at Lexus of Northborouh, MA. I shopped Lexus of Norwood, MA and after several counter offers from each dealer after I kept cancelling the deal from the other dealer ( ping pong match), I came away with as best I can tell a net invoice offer from Herb Chambers. I had a trade which made the final figures a little tough to decypher. Each dealer kept dropping another %500+ each time to lock the deal in and they kept calling me and loering the price. I finally took delivery at a net price of $34.2K which included a factory installed XM radio list price $800'ish. I have to tell you it took a lot of driving to each dealership and phone calls but in the end I saved an add'l $4000 over what I thought was a good deal at $1600 off. The car is a dream.
