Re: 2010 RX 350 AWD- Baltimore/DC Area [madanchicna] by tennis_lexus on Fri Jul 24 11:04:12 PDT 2009

Thanks for your trusting, but I'm a little busy and not use to do it. Just try to base on the invoice and start negotiate at under the invoice and more up a little by little. I think the dealers from MD are easy deal than the one from VA. You can read another comment from MA, who bought couple hundred $ under the invoice. Good luck.

Thank you for your valuable information. I got AWD RX350 in MD with the price $500 over the invoice. As some one did mention in this site, you get all the invoice option prices from Edmund, find the car you love and test drive. Request to print out the option sheet for that car and list the entire invoice price for every single option you have plus delivery charge. Start to negotiate as the invoice price or below and move up by couple hundred. It may depends on the time table for the car on the lot and depend on how good you are. Good luck and thanks to all on this site.

Hey dmp4, that's disappointing to hear. I'll be "officially" in the market in 6 weeks and Len Stoler has always been my best Lexus price. May be time to go elsewhere, there is prlenty of competition in the DC/Baltimore area. BTW, Lexus of Towson is also owned by the Len Stoler group.

Re: 2010 RX in North Carolina [my3grlz] by md_outback on Wed Mar 18 19:35:17 PDT 2009

Hey my3grlz, Good luck - that would be a fantastic deal if they keep their word! What dealer is it? If it doesn't work out, I have always gotten a good price from the Internet person at Len Stoler Lexus in Owings Mills, MD (near Baltimore). Ask for an email quote - it should be competitive.

I went to the AutoShow in Baltimore in February and fell in love with this crossover. Have you heard of United Buying Service (ubs4cars.com)? They will give you a certificate for almost any car, tell you which dealership to go to and you are supposed to get a cheaper price than the MSRP. Now I think it's only in MD,DC,VA, but there may be other types of companies out there...and it's free. Check with your credit unions or financial institutions...you'd be surprised! There was a downside to my experience with the dealer they listed...they didn't want to give me anything decent off the RX. They told me they would give $1,200 off $47k...I told them um, that's not a deal. They said the vehicle just came out and they aren't discounting the 2010, however, the discounts for the 2009 RX350 ranged from $9600 to $9800 off their MSRP. I told them they have the wrong person on the wrong day... I walked out. The good news, I contacted a different Lexus dealer, also in Virgina and I told the salesperson what I wanted, she quoted the MSRP at $47,091 but will sell for $44,900. I told her all I had was a check in hand for $45,000 and her new sales manager agreed to sell it to me for $40,900 (with tax, tags, title) = $45,000. I was told the car would be there on Saturday...so I'll post again once I get it and let you know if they kept their word. This is without the UBS certificate... bottom line, if the dealership is hungry for the sale, they will do whatever they need to do to get you in the car!
