Re: LOOKING TO LEASE ES350 IN TAMPA [newcar28]

Newcar28, Sarasota gave me a great internet quote on my ES 350 compared to other dealerships in FL and GA. I think they may be willing to negotiate more with you. I was able to negotiate with them after the initial quote they gave me, but they did not have the color I wanted. However, the GA dealership had the car and basically matched Sarasota's price. Tampa Bay Lexus was a waist of time. It took them weeks just to respond to my internet request for a quote. See if Sarasota can do better. I did not lease my car, but I would think negotiations should be just as good as buying. Good luck on your negotiations.

I waited till I was ready to pull the trigger, then told the internet guy (Doug) what I was willing to pay (invoice price) on an 08 and, because Sarasota FL would do it, he matched their offer. Got my wife an 08, Performance plus package w/ XM, HID, heated seats, rain sensing wipers for $38000, OTD price of $41000 even. We saved exactly $4k off sticker. I cannot say enough about the education I received on this site, and I saved a bundle.
Re: Prices in Chicago area???? [arcee98]

I'm not in Chicago, but I'm getting the same thing in St. Louis. I got two quotes here for an ES350 with premium/nav. One was for $1,000 off MSRP and the other $800 off MSRP. I need to wait anyway, as my 4Runner lease is not over until June of 07. Hopefully it will come down more by then. If not, I would think about going to that Sarasota, FL dealership people keep raving about. Road Trip!
Florida Pricing

Thanks to everyone here! I wanted to help the next person get a good price too. I live in Jacksonville, FL and today I drove off in my 2007 ES350 from the Sarasota Lexus dealer. I got the premium plus with navigation in a starfire color. The MSRP was 41002. I set out with the goal of getting $3k off of MSRP. From this forum, it seemed this would be difficult on the east coast. I visited the dealer in Jacksonville and was told this was crazy. They were able to sell all of their ES350 for about $500 off of MSRP. It seems most dealers in the FL-GA area don’t even have ES350’s on the lot. So they get whatever they want! I then emailed every dealer in Florida and select GA dealers with my offer to purchase at $3k off of MSRP. This was probably about 15 dealers. Most (about 10 dealers) said I was crazy. About 5 dealers opened a dialogue with me, the one dealer that stood out was Wilde Lexus of Sarasota. They really gave me the prices and direct answers I was seeking. We drove down to Sarasota today and completed the sale. I had no trade. The price was $3K off of MSRP. For anyone shopping in Florida, I would definitely check with the Sarasota dealership (first class) but also with dealers in Miami. You could probably even do a little better then $3k of MSRP right now with the end of the month and quarter coming up. I had one Miami dealer email me a “ to bad, so sad” email that they have done $3800 off of MSRP deals after I told them I reached a deal with another dealer.
when buying out of state
by kungfufi on Mon Aug 21 12:20:42 PDT 2006
I am from TX area and the best deal I have found so far is indeed from Wilde Lexus from sarasota FL. I am wondering for the people who bought their cars from a different state, can you still go to your local dealer for maintenance and service? Do you get the same treatment as if you bought your car from their dealership? Thank you!
