FYI - There is about another $1600 that the dealer should come down if you work hard. The dealer in Orlando quoted me a price over $1600 less than what you mentioned on the same MSRP car. I got my local dealer to match it (FL). Not sure about leasing numbers since I paid cash.

I am in the market for a new car. I just started a job where I will make 160.000 plus bonuses. However, I have a 3500.00 mortgage plus bills. My 1995 mustang is on its last leg. Imagine me in a shirt and tie in Fl. With no A/C. Anyway, I want to buy a new car. Since I have 2 kids, 4 and 1, I was thinking about a small SUV. Now, here is my dilemma. 1- Do I lease or buy. Lease would make sense, since I may have a greater income in 3-5 yrs and may want a bigger car. I would save more money, buying may be best. 2- Do I go for the luxury car now or later. I could go for a non luxury car (murano, highlander, explore) and get a premium package. Maybe lease it and then buy the lux in 3 yrs. Or go for it now and get the lux. if payments are not that much different. 3- I really want the lux. I think I can afford it, but I am very careful not to live above my means. That is how I maintain an 800 credit score. What model should I go with? Lexus, BMW, Acura, MB etc. I heard that lexus gives you more for your buck, so I am looking mostly at them. I am in Orlando florida, but I am willing to go anywhere in Florida to pick up a good deal. I know it is a lot, but I am very confuse and would love anyone's input Thanks, Uhic

Got the following deal at Lexus of Melbourne (FL): 2008 RX350 AWD Prem Plus Navigation Heated seats/rain sensing wipers cargo mat wheel locks Towing pkg 18 inch, 7-spoke wheels. $40.4K +TTL For the same vehicle, Lexus of Orlando was quoting me $40.6K. Also, the Melbourne dealer gave me a better price on my trade by $4700. Sales staff in Melbourne treated us top-notch.

I stopped by a dealer in central florida late today to pick up a brochure on the RX350 and ended up going home with an RX350 as well. The dealer had a dozen or so RX350 in stock but only had one in stock with navi and it was a fully loaded one with the rear dvd entertainment and Mark Levinson system. I think the only options not on this car were the laser cruise control, performance package, and the multi panel moonroof. Otherwise, it is fully loaded. List was $48403. I got it for $43000 +T&L. This would be about 88.8% of msrp and is about $900 over invoice. Deal was straight forward. No games and no hard sale on extras by the dealer. I was in and out in less than 2 hours. I thought this was a pretty good deal given the car is a 2007 car just released for sale. The color is crystal white with the ivory interior which is our first choice of color combo. I do like the black exterior as well, especially with the gold package but we already own a black car and it is true that black car is hard to keep clean and will show all dirt. But a clean black car is a real sharp car! We will take our new RX out tomorrow (Easter Sunday) for a drive and I'm sure we will enjoy it. Hope you all have a good deal as well. You can't go wrong with a Lexus!

When I was at the Orlando dealership on Monday they had five IS 250's on the lot, and were begging me to take one of them. I could have gotten an AWD for $2000 off invoice, but I live in FL so that would have been wasted money. They are also getting six more 250's this weekend, so they are starting to pile up!! The dealer said the best he could do was $100 off MSRP, but as I like to say, we'll see about that!

I just picked up my IS250 RWD last wednesday, great car!!, great handling, acceleration not that powerful, very roomy :) (in the front only of course, forget the rear, it is gone) I am 6'4" 275# For me the only way to get an improved discount at this point was getting a car out of their inventory. I didn't have any luck in Miami-Orlando-Forth Myers getting no more than $750 off sticker, however finally the dealer in Margate FL agreed to discount $900, final price $31748 + tag + tax. The only 250 rwd package avaialable in South Florida comes with 18" wheel plus a set of useless stuff for a 35 year old man (mat, net, etc). msrp $32664 Strangely, the salespersons let me know (when the deal was done) that my car was their first IS250 sale!! they were even unfamiliar with some basic features when deliverying, I assume the sales of this car are not as hot as they claim when you ask them for a better deal. Or maybe hurricane Wilma really hurt them. In the end I am VERY happy with this car, my recommendation, any patient buyer should wait until January to save some bucks. and If you can go for the 350. finally it is amazing but in the Miami area I have seen only 2 IS on the roads, a "glacier frost mica" 250 and mine (beatiful white)! I wonder, is this car REALLY hot or is it too expensive I am one of the few new fools to pay close to sticker in this part of the country? (by their mistake i've got a free window tinting, I guess that makes me feel less guilty... )
