Buying a car from a Lexus Car Dealer
I live in miami fl and puchased a new rx350 from n miami lexus. Iwas charged $50 for electronic processing e-tag plus $100 transfer fee plus $20 3rd party tag agency. I think this is excessive. Now the new title has arrived and they want another $65! comments please.
Hi, looking to pull a trigger on 350 ES with nav, ventilated seads( it's hot FL ! ), back spoiler, ZAG.COM is listing that model with above options at $35780 including destination charges ( plus tax, reg.etc). By zag.com this is the price their dealers are committed to give me with printed price certificate from Zag website. Does it look like a good price to you ? ( specially those who bought that car in Miami area ). Thanks in advance.
I am also approx. 35 miles away from the dealer.About a month ago when my car went in for the recall work, the driver who bought me the loaner and drove my car to the dealer told me he has gone as far as Miami to pick up and drop off. Lexus of Clearwater is very customer service oriented. Lexus of Tampa Bay, which is owned by the same corporation, sells more cars but does not offer the service. But they do charge the $599 fee..
Just leased a 2010 IS 250 from Lexus of Kendall in Miami, FL. Easy experience with an honest salesman. Exterior: Truffle Mica (Gray) Interior: Ecra (Ivory with Gray accents) Premium Package (heated/ventilated seats, wood interior trim, perforated seats, HID headlamps, 18" Alloy Wheels with summer tires) - no navigation 36 months/12K miles MSRP: $36,345 Negotiated Adjusted Cap Cost: $33,347 $845 down (including first month) $440 total per month ($412 + $28 tax) Also received $21,000 trade value for my 2007 IS 250. I realize I could have negotiated the cap cost down, but I really didn't care how they manipulated the numbers as long as I ultimately received the monthly price I desired. Two additional comments for those shopping in the South Florida market: (1) Lexus of North Miami was willing to do this deal at $429/month, but didn't have the color scheme I wanted and offered to ship the car from another state (it would have cost an additional $15/month for freight). (2) Avoid JM Lexus because, in my opinion, they are overpriced and difficult to work with. This is now the second Lexus I have leased where JM has refused to entertain matching better offers I received from other dealerships, claiming that my numbers were "so off" and asking that I work with them on "more realistic numbers". All this after I was told via email from JM that "[w]hen it comes to price that is never a problem," "we never lose your business because of price," and "at JM Lexus we have an underprice policy and we will never be undersold."
