If so did you check with them before ordering through Tampa? I was going to get my through Tampa but didn't want to pay full MSRP so I told them I would come back. Took a shot in the dark with Wilde and bam....$2500 under MSRP without even trying! Plus it was a straight forward deal....no bs....just awaiting the arrival of my color combo....and to top it all off the dealership is top notch!!!!! What options did you get? Thanks

Re: RX 330 Prices/Texas [lexyfan]: by malexusrx330 on Mon Jul 25 07:25:17 PDT 2005; Yes that was the price. no surprises. yes the tax and tags were extra, there were some miscellaneuos fees but they were less than 300. since they threw in the all weather matts with the deal and a three day cruise we were happy. The reason we really chose lexus of clearwater was that they were the only ones who admitted there was an issue with the drive by wire transmission, the corporate lexus office denied it, the lexus of tampa deal, the lexus of sarasota denied it. lexus of clearwater quickly admitted it and did the software update. they threw in the cruise for two as well. Lexus can advertise how good there service is, but what is important is that they are honest and anything made by toyota is quality and relibable. That way you should not need to use the service department except for what your "owners manual " states. We have had the rx for about 6 weeks and have no regrets. we were looking at a 2003 mercedes 320e. mercedes just cannot compare to the reliability of lexus. most of my mercedes owner friends agree with me. yes mercedes owners agree that lexus is more reliable. buy the lexus you cannot go wrong.

I just piced it up!!: by malexusrx330 on Mon Jun 20 04:31:39 PDT 2005; We just picked up our 2005 RX330 Black Onyx on Ivory Leather Premium Plus Package. It is awesome. just a joy to drive and look at. I cannot believe I am almost 50 and jumping up and down like a little boy. I purchased from Lexus of Clearwater in the Tampa Bay area. They were the only ones who admitted and addressed the drive by wire issue, I had a long discussion with the service manager and techs. They upgraded my software before I even drove the car. Corporate Lexus and the two next closet dealerships denied the issue. I thank Edmonds.com for the making the research information available. The dealership also gave us a three day Caribbean Cruise when this issue came up. I appreciate the honesty of Lexus of Clearwater and the saleswomen I dealt with. (too bad I can not mention her name because she was EXCELLENT) We paid $36799 including all weather mats plus tax and tags. So you all think I got a good deal??

Here is the skinny MSRP 42,888 About 300 over invoice plus 500 dealer fee. 37940+300+500......OTD ~41.2K I know I could have done atleast 200 better, but the wife really wanted/needed the car so the deal was made. She is happy therefore I am happy, 200+ extra was well worth it. If you are really looking for rock bottom prices, I am prettty sure you can go to JMlexus in Margate(South Florida) and save yourself even more. Good Luck! BTW-She loves the car so far.and I am pretty impressed myself despite my disdain for anything SUV
