Re: IS250AWD Offer Price [kingthumper]

Hi, Thanks so much for the info. I am in the Midwest region, specifically Des Moines, IA. I know dealers on the East/West coast are very willing to deal. But in the Midwest, it is difficult cause every dealership is a few hours away. I've been getting quotes from dealers about 3-4 hours drive away and they are priced pretty much the same range. I told them about people getting a a model with navi for $35k and they told me they believe it, but it is only happening on the coast. In the Midwest, it is just not happening. The dealership at my city ran out of the IS250. I thought about buying it from somehwre like Boston but with the shipping and hassle, I don't think it's worth the $2k, plus if anything goes wrong, they are out there and I am in the Midwest. The dealer at my city is giving me the best offer so far (to keep me in town). I am getting the IS250 AWD without Navi (I figure navi is too much to pay, it seems cool but I barely use it) for $32,746 + TTL So I am paying: Price $32,746.00 Tax (32,746-$10,500)*0.05 $ 1,112.30 Doc Fee $ 175.00 Total $34,033.33 They offer me $33,212 at first...I haggle for the extra 500 off......I will try to get it for $34,000. I don't include Title and Licensing cause that is something we pay annually, so i dont see that as a cost to the car, which you might think is silly. Insurance: I have checked Progressive and it is: $92/month 100/300/100 Liability 100/300 Uninsured 1000 Deductible for both Collision & Comprehensive I am 24 soon. let me know what you think.

You are absolutely correct. I priced the car at 4 dealers in DE, PA and NJ (I live in Philly). I got everything you wanted, minus the spoiler (not sure you will find one, nothing on the lots I saw had it, so the dealer might have to install). Anyways, see my post Lexus Philly
PA/MD/DE IS 250 AWD

Looking for a 2007 AWD IS 250 in Eastern PA. Without nav. but with HID, wood interior, rear spoiler and preferred accesory package. MSRP= 36877 (Destination charge included). What kind of deals are people getting in this area of the country? Dealers are offering aprox 3000 off MSRP. It seems the deals are no where near that seen in CA.
Re: 250 AWD in NJ [arbor]

arbor, I think you can do better. Check my post post #1574 from February. I live NW Philly burbs. I am one who likes to get a good deal, but not one who is going to go to the ends of the earth to get the best deal ever -- so ultimately, you have to figure out if the deal is good enough for you. Considering the PA/NJ has some good competitors within a close radius, you can work the numbers. How much are you paying for the car? I got a little more than the base (mine had premium package, but no nav), and am paying less than they quoted you and I was $1,250 less out of pocket. And when I got the documents, they made a mistake and only used $1,000 down, so I got $250 back at signing (and I'm paying the same price). Obviosly there was still some money on the table ;) I priced four dealerships, in the PA/NJ/DE area, and this was the best deal I could get without killing myself. I shopped back and forth for about 7 days both at the dealer and by email. Two of the dealers were also only willing to do the deal with the cars on the lot -- the dealer I ended up going with got my car from Long Island in the color/interior I wanted (which I would highly recommend -- Black Sapphire with Tan). It also sounds like to me they may not be quoting you with the best money factor. You should find out all of the details on that too. I am extremely pleased with my car, and am quite happy with the payment I'm making for this great car. It was AWESOME in the snow.
Re: Why Is The IS Being Discounted? [jerry k]

Two possibilities: 1) Is this possibly the last year before a redisign? This is only the 2nd year of this design, right? So actually I'd expect at least one more year with this design... 2) The new 2007 Infiniti G35 offers 100 more horses than the IS250 at a slightly higher price. The G35, in other words, offers IS350 performance and is priced much lower than the 350. So the 250 is "overpriced" and I think the market is reflecting this.
how to price a demo
by skinnytony on Wed Feb 28 14:05:36 PST 2007
I drove an IS250 AWD today. They made me a "reasonable" offer, but here's my issue. The car is not designated as a demo, however it had 720 miles on it! And they are treating it as "new". I've always heard that cars don't technically take the depreciation hit until they are titled, but how should I evaluate this mileages with respect to a counter offer? How much has this mileage devalued the car? Any thoughts?
