Which dealer did you go through and what was the MSRP of the vehicle you bought? I looked at picking this vehicle up but opted for the G35, we're now back in the market for another vehicle and again came back to the IS250. I live in CT so driving to MA is not an issue.

Regarding a "good deal"--prices vary by market. I just picked up a GX470 in CT with the following options: Nav/Mark Levinson 3rd Row seat w/AC Convenience Package (net, mat, wheel locks) Tow Prep package Rear Spolier Titanium Silver w/Gray interior $45,800 + tax + tags Only "after market" item we installed was XM radio (so that it would read on Nav sceen)--$695 (a bit more than port installed). With all the travel we do to VT--XM is a blessing (no searching for stations--especially in the boonies). Thought the price overall was pretty good.

i am new to leasing and just got a quote on a new model, the Infiniti EX35, and they would do a $490 monthly payment: Net Cap: 37,883.64, Residual: 52.% 21,619 and total depreciation of 16,264 term was 39/15. Rate: .760 (msrp: 41,575 ) if this is enough for you to go on how does this compare with what you just stated? I don't understand what .00222 with a 46 residual means -- I like the RX 350 more. This dealership is in Fairfield CT - so the north may differ drastically from the south - i would guess. Can you tell me what you would pay per month on that car and the depreciation, rent, etc.? I may lease if the deal is right - (they are giving 1500 off msrp and 2000 if you buy the car).

Re: IS250 RWD in NYC [kingdrew]
by davidd3 on Wed May 07 16:50:49 PDT 2008
Does any dealer around NYC sell IS250 RWD auto? I'm wondering the same thing, though I haven't seriously looked into it yet. I stopped into the Greenwich CT dealer a few weeks ago and test drove the IS250 AWD. My only complaint was relatively lack of power for a sports sedan, especially acceleration from a stop. So it occurred to me that I may prefer the IS250 RWD. No AWD = less weight. Less weight = more power and better fuel efficiency. No AWD also = less expensive car = lower monthly payment. Buy a set of winter tires for a fraction of the cost of AWD and do the tire changeover thing twice per year. The salesman was bewildered by what I had in mind. He said, um, we basically only get this car in AWD because that is the way our customers want it. It was then I realized for sure that I had left the BMW dealership and entered a Lexus dealership. The Lexus salesman could not relate to the sports sedan mentality of preferring RWD. I didn't push it. I figure if I really want this car they could do a swap with a warm weather dealer. Ordering a car seemed to be a totally foreign concept to the Lexus salesman. Another big difference from BMW.
