This is going to sound counter intuitive (based on these dealers' location) but contact Lexus of Westport and Greenwich. I've purchased vehicles from McDermott, Westport and Greenwich, and each time the others were thousands of dollars apart. I've found that most people don't cross shop McDermott due to location. Dealers in NY and long island are fairly aggressive as well you should contact them by email to get a price prior to stepping foot in a dealership Good luck

I recently looked into this and decided to wait. I am also in metro NYC area. Unfortunately, the RX is not really "on sale" as part of the Golden Opportunity summer sales event. There is no lease support and there are no incentives. The 2010 is the first year of the new generation of RX and it seems that it is for now still selling well enough where Lexus doesn't have to do anything special financially to boost or maintain sales volume. Money factor is a rather high .00255, though you (not me) could get a not too bad .00215 as a returning customer. Also, if you live in NJ or CT, you could further lower the money factor by making multiple security deposits. I live in NY where MSDs are not allowed . . . The good news is that the dealer was offering a substantial discount off of MSRP. In my case, my lease offer was based on a sale price of $39,918 on a RX with a MSRP of $43,265. It was several hundred dollars below Edmunds TMV. I'm waiting for the winter sales event, hoping for lease support at that time. Or, if we catch a break before then, I'm ready to seize the opportunity.

That is interesting to say the least...I thought all states taxed just about the same way...I an Nj and I okanning to buy from Fitx automall in MD and according to the sale people there...I will get a temp driving plate to get the car from MD to NJ...and then when I register the car in NJ I will pay the NJ tax then....according to them the same happens with NY,CT,MA and the states that the had done business with...you guys shoul move EAST...lol...good luck to all...great forum.

I talked to the internet sales manager of a CT Lexus dealer on the issue of lease support. She expects it to arrive for the December to Remember sales event, but not sooner. I'm coming off-lease in Oct. I may extend my lease for a couple of months to wait and see. The savings as compared to acting now could be considerable. Just posting this answer to one of my own questions in case it may be helpful to others.
Re: Question About MSDs [go_orange]

I asked the internet sales manager of a CT Lexus dealer about my idea to get around the issue of NY not allowing MSDs. Seems I'm out of luck. She told me that the determining factor is the customer's State of residence where the vehicle will be registered. She said that it will not work to lease the vehicle from a dealer in a neighboring state when the customer lives in NY and the vehicle will be registered in NY. Major bummer . . . Just posting this answer to my own question in case this may be helpful to anyone.
