You will save few thousand dollars if you buy from CA. You don't need to register in CA/pay CA taxes if the vehicle is not operated in CA. Most of the dealers will ship the vehicle to whereever you live so you can register locally. I live in Seattle area and I won't recommend the Bellevue lexus. I bought mine (MSRP $48,473/Invoice 43,743[my price] - NV, CP, PM, PA, TO, WU etc.) from Oakland Lexus dealer and I am saving about 4K after shipping.
IS250 in the SF Bay Area (Northern CA)

Putnam Lexus in Redwood City has great prices on their IS250's - purchased one for ~1500 below invoice last week. The internet sales guy was a pleasure to deal with - no pressure and very helpful. I would definitely recommend him. Coliseum Lexus in Oakland on the other hand is full of sleazebags - first their internet sales guy said he would "significantly beat" my lowest quote, but I'd have to go in first. When we go in, they claim that there was "no way" you could get the IS250 for 1500 below invoice and said $500 below MSRP(!!!) was a great deal. Stay away from them! They'll blatantly lie to you just to get you in and try and sweet talk you - I could smell the slime dripping from their hair.

That is a good deal. I got mine which listed for the same MSRP price for 32.8K at Colliseum in Oakland. BTW, I don't think that list price includes the "Luxury" Pkg which would then have power adj steering wheel, memory seats, power rear sunshade and more. More likely you are referring to the "Premium Package" . RWD 250's with the Luxury Pkg are hard to come by in CA. Which dealer are you using?

Yes, I did get the adaptive front lighting. Tax rate varies throughout CA; Oakland is ridiculously high at 8.5%. My OTD was a few bucks over 36K.

Given the additional info you provided in your post #173, I'd say that $588/month is a bit too high. Granted my lease is 36/12K, but MSRP on my ES (UL w/ nav) was $44288, w/ a selling price of $39963...yet my payments are pretty much identical to what you were quoted; all I paid up front was the acquisition fee. I honestly would find it a bit hard to fathom that the difference in residual between a 36/15K and 36/12K lease would account for the $6000 difference in selling price...but maybe Car_man could very well prove me wrong since he is the expert when it comes to car lease figures. And oh yeah--my credit score was (unfortunately for me) quite a bit lower than yours...meaning that the rate I got was probably higher than what you may very well wind up with...thus making it a bit more harder to understand how your monthly payment could be the same as mine. FWIW--I notice you're in Roseville, CA (I'm from Rocklin); you wouldn't happen to be getting those quotes from Lexus of Roseville? I ask because when I was shopping for mine, L of R would not even touch the deal I got from Coliseum Lexus of Oakland (that was back in 8/06, but I would imagine L of R still won't be willing to compete w/ many of the Bay Area Lexus dealers since they really believe the majority of folks who live in the Roseville/Rocklin area must be earning tons of money). Guess where I wound up buying my ES from? Definitely not from Roseville... ;)

Coliseum Lexus of Oakland is a good place--they were the only Bay Area dealer that was able to offer the best deal AND have one available for immediate sale (the others either couldn't quite match Oakland's offer and/or wouldn't have one available for a few weeks).
