I ended up buying the new car instead of going with the dealer cars that were only slightly less $. I got another quote that was almost $1K higher than 42,988 for the 2010 RX350.. It has Nav, Premium, Comfort pkgs along with a bunch of other stuff that I probably don't need, but I do like that parking assist! I am in the Ca. Bay area and bought from Pleasanton Lexus. The other place that had the slightly used 2010's is Magnussen Lexus, Fremont. They would not give me a direct quote without the big "sit down", sales mgrs, etc. and I did not want to do that.Pleasanton was real straight forward and gave me a good quote. I did have a pretty big hiccup with my trade in, but the car seemed to fall apart at the dealership! Sunroof got stuck, power steering stopped, etc. so that was not great, and I almost left, but otherwise a good experience.

We heard that there was great trade in value for our 07 400h, and were interested in the very positive reviews of this years upgraded 450h. We went to a dealership to test drive, were totally impressed, and decided to try to make it happen. The most workable sales guy was from internet sales at Magnussen Lexus in Fremont CA. We were offered $3000 over kelly blue book 'good' rating for our 400h, even with old tires (one spare on board) and no mats. This was added to $3500 off MSRP. Our total value saved was at least the $6500. for this deal. They seemed far more flexible than other dealerships we dealt with, so I think they are a good bet for Bay Area buyers. It was a relatively painless transaction, but we did have to stay solid on what we were willing to pay and trade for. ;)

I am facing with the same dilema.I live in UT and the Lexus dealer here will not budge.From reading the posts here , I found better offers from dealers in the Bay Area . Have not purchased yet but try Fremont Lexus and Putnam Lexus both in the Bay Area.Realize that you would have to license and pay the 8.25% tax in CA. I was told by many dealers in CA that you have to license the vehicle there and pay the tax.Your state will not charge additional tax when you register the vehicle in your state.I hope this helps in calculating your purchase price. I will post whenever i purchase the vehicle.

Hi dd1227, Your price from Pleasanton Lexus is quite good. I was quoted $39300 + TTL for a similar vehicle from Fremont Lexus. What was your OTD price? I am shooting for $42k OTD but not sure if this is doable or not. Thanks, Tim

I got a good deal from Magnussen Lexus in Fremont Ca. I was treated right, the fleet Guy RC was real nice. He just showed me invoice said a % over and that was that. I went to finance and treated me great no pressure. I did buy the Paint Sealant, I know you are all laughing, but for me it works and I also got the Lo jack. I get a discount on my insurance for having it. I bought the IS350 with the Mark Levingson system. :)
