LR2 lease - 24/36 mo & 15k mi - need money factor and residuals
by koberry on Sat Nov 24 08:45:08 PST 2007
I'm coming out of a lease on an RX330 and have driven pretty much everything in market, from the pilot to the Mercedes. The LR2 seems like a nice car, though I'm a bit concerned about what the service experience might be like w/ Landrover, compared to Lexus. I drove the LR2 last night in Cary, NC. The dealer basically offered a deal at invoice within just a few minutes of talking - I assume the market must be terribly slow here... I would really like any help w/ the money factor and residuals for a LR2 SE + cold climate and lighting - no tech... - 15k miles/year - 24 & 36 months Other posts have referenced a 69% residual for 36 mo & 10.5 mi/yr, so I'm assuming a 15k residual will be somewhere around 65% - would really appreciate some confirmation of all. I'm expecting payment will fall somewhere around $450 including tax, which makes this a pretty compelling buy, compared to the RDX and X3 - agree? Thanks, Ken
New RR HSE 2006 - Would like assistance with lease/purchase decision
by lpj on Sun Apr 22 07:18:46 PDT 2007
Hi: I am obviously new to this website (and an amateur at car purchasing in this caliber)but have found a 2006 RR HSE with 88 miles on it that I am very interested in. I, like everyone else on this site, am interested in getting the best deal and will consider lease or purchase depending on best option. My question is: where do I begin? I saw it on Autotrader listed by a local NC dealer but the list price is $81,150 and they do not provide the package options. I am trying to do my homework before I even contact the dealer. I also sent an email to LandRover and LandRover Capital requesting one of those $2,000 coupons that everyone else here seems to know about and have. I read the thread about the "sweet spot" and would prefer the lowest lease payment so if you could advise on these lease terms, that would be great. I also know that you negotiate the selling price, money factor or interest rate, and residual (value after lease) in a lease correct? I know this is an elementary thread but I never found one starting out at this level of inexperience. Thanks so much for your advice on this!!! I have so many butterflies about this transaction.

More than a few LR dealers here in NC are one price dealers and don't negotiate much. You either buy it or you don't. If there are no factory incentives, you pay MSRP.

My experience around in NC is full MSRP which will end up putting the vehicle around the 58k range with the options I want. My conclusion is that I can afford to wait until pricing comes down and some of the vehicles glitches are fixed and possibly new features on the model. I really wanted to pull the trigger but logic over ruled that decision. I am currently in a 03 Expedition so I am in no hurry. It's not the price but it is a combination of things.
