Did I get a good lease deal?
by jhansen00 on Sun Mar 29 16:48:59 PDT 2009
I leased a RR Sport. 62,700 MSRP Car. 50% Residual, .00027 Money Factor (low) $899 Cap Cost Reduction, $679 Per month. This not not count MA state tax which is 5% and start up costs which was first months, aquisition fee, dcoumentation fee, title, registration, etc, but these were the raw numbers. I think it is pretty good for a 62K car because they had to bring the cost down to about 55K to make it happen. I want to confirm this. Any thoughts?

One other quote that I received was for the RR Sport w/Lux Pack is for $799/mo inclusive of taxes (MA 5%), 12k miles with $800 COD. If I want $0 out of pocket, then another option given to me is for $799/mo with 10k miles per year. Thanks again!
Lease is up, what now?

So I have an LR3 coming to the end of a 2 year lease. I love this car and in the MA current weather it has come into its own. But what next? Should I buy it at the end of the lease? If so, how much negotiation power do I have? or can I negotiate a reduced lease rate for another 2 years? or is it worth just leasing a new one? Currently I got 630 all taxes included for an HS with wood, running boards and other bits and pieces. 10.5k a year which is fine for me. We have very good credit scores...but the whole car environment has changed. What should one do?

Did you buy an SE or HSE. Was it a new car, trade in, or loaner car? Please let me know, I am from the area and would like to try and get the best deal possible.

Thanks, u2fan1967. I also highly recommend Land Rover of Sudbury. I am very happy with my buying experience as well. A couple of days after I closed the deal and paid the deposit, they still tried to match another dealership's deal and lowered $1000 for me. It is amazing! I paid $33,345 for LR2 with cold climate option. $33,345 is drive out price including destination fee, tax, registration and tag fee. It is pretty good deal, I think. I definitely would not recommend Norwood dealership. I don't like their selling style at all. They give you too much pressure and push too hard. Is your price $33,400 also drive out price which includes every fee? By the way, if dealer offers you a test-drive car with about 400 miles on it by $1000 cheaper than original price, will you take it? Does it matter for being a test-drive car?
