Just joined. Hello! I bought my LR2 SE from Manhattan Auto in Rockville, MD a few days ago. Standard base package plus cold climate, negotiated base price 33,800 + taxes, title etc. 35,800 total price. Got a great trade in on my 2004 Civic ValuePack (9500). Also free floor mats. Nice vehicle. Bought it for the wife but now I want one too.

It is at the Alexandria, VA landrover dealership. Also, the Rockville, MD dealership will match the price. The deal is legit. The deal is the following: 2007 brand new lr3 HSE Options: Luxury and Satelite radio. All taxes and tags included (VA, MD, DC residents) Lease is a 24 month/ 10.5 k miles per year lease Residual is 37,000 cost is $25 per month extra if you want 12 k miles per year Black costs $400 upfront if you want that color. Otherwise any other color. Best of all....First month payment is waived BUT, I am still looking for the $1500 coupon if someone has one to see if they will also take the coupon.
How about this deal in MD?

Wanted payments around $500, so I am putting down taxes and tags plus another $2000 or so. This is on a loaded (read cold climate and sat.) '06 HSE demo with 2k miles. Still room to negotiate - thoughts? (Yes - the money factor equates to .7%). Money Factor .00003 Residual 57% Selling Price $49157.00 (MSRP $56,157) Customer Rebate $4780 Sales Tax $2457 Tags $268 Money down $4500 Payment at 24 mos 15k a year = $510.86
Re: RRS SC lease

I am also considering a lease on RRS SC and I have the following questions for everyone here: 1. What is going on with ridiculous lease prices I have seen? A zero down lease on a $70K car should not cost over $1K. Why are LR dealers charging these insane prices? Is it due to poor residuals? Demand? Does anyone have an idea? 2. Can any existing owners comment on reliability? In addition to LR having the absolute worst ranking in the 2006 JD Power & Associates survey, I have seen a huge number of posts on various web forums with people having a tremendous amount of problems with their Land Rovers. My existing vehicle is an Infiniti FX and I had two minor problems with it in the 38 months of the lease. I know that Land Rover reliability cannot compare to Japanese cars, but constant problems with Rover would simply ruin my life and my family's life, so I am wondering if there have been any quality improvements recently. I have seen several posts about 08 MY models coming out in June. Does anyone know if any changes were made to 2008 RRS? Can anyone comment on their experience with level of service in the dealerships of NYC area (or tri-state area). While looking for a best price, I exchanged emails with a dealer in MD, who acted very snobby (as if he was selling me a one of a kind vintage Ferrari). He gave me the "if you have to ask how much is a Rolls Royce, you probably cant afford it" type of speech, which really pissed me off. Thanks in advance for any info you provide. Eugene

There are a lot of Rover dealers down in that part of the country. I am not sure if someone owns all of those dealers or if they are owned by different companies. Find the next closest dealer that is not owned by the same person as the dealer you had the problems with. Call them and ask for the Centre manager. Explain your situation that you had serious problems with where you bought your Rover and would like to have it serviced with them instead. Be polite and just explain the situation. Let them know that you have no problem with the vehicle or Land Rover in general but just that particular dealer. A smart centre manager will make sure you are treated with respect and that you get access to loaner cars like anyone else. Keep in mind that for the most part the loaner cars are a first come first serve basis and most Land Rover Dealers do not have enough of them.
