Hey guys, this is a repost from the Buying Experiences thread since I put it in the wrong place to start with. Anyway, can you please analyze this deal for me? Thanks again for the reply. Here is one deal I have been offered: EX with Premium Package and a few add-ons (wheel locks, cargo net and rear bumper film) MSRP: $26668 Selling Price: $24850 Additional Mileage: $1950 Lease Incentive: deduct $1,000 MF: .00095 Residual: 55% NC Tax: 3% Doc Fee: $585.50 Tag Fee: $89 Lease Fee: $595 Monthly Lease: $368 What do you guys think? I'm hoping to get them down a little more to get my payment down to $350ish.
I am in NC and looking at an Optima SX with the premium package, wheel locks, cargo net and cargo tray. The sticker is 29,000. I do not qualify for any rebates. I am offering $26,600 + NC 3% tax and tags. Any information, ideas? Thank you!
...you did freakin' great! It's a great vehicle in so many ways. Sure, somebody will negotiate a better deal somewhere, but your cost looks fine to me. Again, by comparison, my 2007 LX I-4 (no cargo tray) cost me $16,800 20 months ago. So you get a new 2008 with a bigger engine, 20 months later, for $1400 less than what I thought was a very good deal for mine? That's terrific!
I've had the cargo tray since owning the car 1.5 years ago. I rarely use the rear seats, so I like the tray because of its fit and look. No question it protects the rear floor very well. But I never found a place to stow it when the rear seats had to be used. I also have had the bumper guard a while. It is vinyl. It is also absolutely necessary if you are hauling things and care about the exterior condition of your Rondo. That ledge will get nicked/scratched/dinged over time w/o the guard. Even if you personally are careful, you'll have lots of riders or helpers unloading who won't be.
