2017 Hyundai Tucson Purchase - 8/2017

Love the new Tuscon which is why I rated the experience at 2 Stars. Having said that unless you are using the Financing they want to find for you they are NOT co-operative at all. We wanted a different color than what was on the lot. They said they could bring it in BUT it would cost us more...BUT if we bought one off the lot they would give us the same price.... Wouldn't let us leave to come back with our own Financing from our own Credit Union. We were willing to come back after they obtained the correct color and we would have gotten our own Financing but they were insistent. Then we were shown where to sign for an option already on the vehicle which resulted in them adding $199.00 to the over all cost. When I re-read the paper work that night I saw that we had the option to decline (we were not told that) and went back to request a check. We will see if that EVER comes to us. They WERE not happy that we asked for that. I WILL not take my new Tuscon back there for any Service as the Managers nor Finance will pick up the calls or return your calls or emails. It is TERRIBLE. Go look there if you want....Buy at your own RISK. :(

Watch out for add ons

Went in with a quoted price, by the time they were done the price had increased $2000. Brought me paperwork to sign and it had an "accessories" package added for $1500. Asked them to remove that and was approved for my financing. When reviewing the documents, they had added that $1500 package back on. They also told me I could put down a large amount after signing and that amount would be spread throughout all the monthly payments and it would lower my monthly payment. I called Hyundai financing and they do not do such things, a large payment would be applied to interest first, then to the principal. Straight-up lied to a number of times. I was also told one price and when they presented me with the paperwork, the price had magically increased $90.

Great Experience

My first contact was with Tim Bonta. Through emails and phone conversations he gave me what I thought was a fair price. After reading so many horror stories on the internet about car buying in general, I was very wary about trusting any car dealer to live up to what they had said or even written. Tim and Larry Moyer went above and beyond in what they did to re-assure me that what I was quoted would actually be what I got after a 2 1/2 hr drive to their dealership. When I got there, Mike Daugherty took care of all of the paperwork and made the stressful task of car buying something that was actually enjoyable! They were very patient with me as I questioned several of the standard documents (sorry for the paranoia!) and were all true to their word.
