Fast, friendly and fair

I budgeted most of a day to shop for my latest car at Jeff Wyler Honda of Florence. I ended up with so much extra time -- and so many good endorphins -- that I went on a 10-mile run and still had to wait around for dinner. Beginning to end, it took about two and a half hours with test drive, trade-in, financing, cleaning the vehicle, cleaning out my old vehicle, and completing all of the required paperwork. I never waited, and my salesperson, Chad Jasper, planned the (otherwise unplanned) experience so well that there just wasn't downtime. Chad was a total pro in all phases of the encounter, from initial meeting, to showing vehicles that might fit my needs, to patiently explaining all of the features of my 2019 Passport. He even helped me clean out my old car, which was above and beyond. The entire team at Jeff Wyler Florence interacted with me at some point, congratulating me on my purchase, expressing what they liked about the Passport, explaining how much of an upgrade it would be over my previous vehicle. I felt like I was taking home a prized possession by the end, and that's a good feeling to have leaving a dealership. I don't think my experience could have been better or more painless.

Car shopping how it should be

We were car shopping for our daughter. Her 1st car! We did not make it easy on Wyler as we were in a certain price range. We asked about many many cars and they never once got short or mad with us. They was really patient with us and we are thrilled that they found a car for our daughter that she loves! Highly recommend Wyler Honda as they treated us great every time we visited or called. They made us feel right at home! Jeff O'Hara was great and so down to earth. He made a lot of great conversation with our daughters and made this such a wonderful experience they will never forget!

Waste of my time

Told my situation to sales person over the phone, was told they could do something on me trading for a new crv. Only to drive a hour and a half to be told otherwise. I left one star because you can't do zero....... I will be ready yo buy another car soon but never from a wyler affiliate.

Love my CRV!

I have leased two CRV's from Jeff Wyler Honda, in Florence, KY and could not be happier with my experience there. I worked with Brenda Williams both times and would highly recommend her. I know I will be a repeat customer when it's time for a new car again!

Arrogant and very Sketchy

Brandon from Wyler honda in Florence, KY was nice up until he came back and said, "This isn't the car for you". They expected MSRP as the first offer and severely underrated a 2014 CX-5 sport with Auto Trams. No extras on the trade. Trade has less than 32,000 miles with a clean title. 2016 Honda Pilot EX FWD SUV H33391 5FNYF5H38GB050685 was the specific pilot we were interested in. MSRP is $33,680 and came back with $200 off as their initial offer and $12,500 for the trade. This is well below trade and I know they do this to work with you but Brandon obviously judged us and said that this wasn't the car for us. LOL!!! I know they don't care but it was hilarious that they judged us the same way that Kerry did down the road. We have purchased/traded 3 vehicles in the past 6 years and we still keep going back to Castrucci honda in Dayton and work with one particular sales associate b/c they actually help sell us a car instead of push us out the door like Brandon did at Wyler. Remember, they make vehicles every day and there is always another dealer who wants your business. It doesn't matter the drive as long as the dealership and sales associate provides excellent service.

Pretty Bad attitude

I was car shopping online and was communicating with Dave from Jeff Wyler and he was very prompt in replying and was super good to us and gave us awesome price to buy the new car. When we arrived to test ride it, Dave was out of his shift and we met with a different person who offered us to test ride the car, ONLY if we confirmed to buy the car from them, else he was like "I don't want to waste your time nor my time". Well without even doing a test ride who would even buy a car from you?? With this kind of attitude, no one should ever go here to buy a car. His attitude was like, he if you choose the Online pricing department, all your discussions are over and what your got is final price and you have to buy this car now, if you want to step in our dealership. Its my money and I'm spending it the way I want, not YOUR's to decide. You would never get my business.

Untrustworthy

We recently received an Edmunds Price Promise guarantee from Jeff Wyler Honda Florence. Had several communications with the Sales Associate referencing the price, and he said the price would be good for 10 days. Drove down to hash out the details regarding the trade in, and when the trade in came back a little lower than what I thought it was worth, I left. The Edmunds Price Promise was in writing during this time. The next day, we called to attempt to negotiate on the trade in, at which point, he told us that the Edmunds Price Promise that he put in writing 5 times in email and in the actual dealership was really a typo and they would not honor it. Found out from subsequent dealers we visited that this is not uncommon. Do not trust their price promise!!

Online Trickery

Overall, this was a bad experience, but certain aspects were pleasant. I test drove a Honda Accord with Eric S. He was very cordial and friendly. Not overly pushy, just upfront. Given my time constraints, I wanted to negotiate and purchase the car online over email. Online, I dealt with Marty A. I received an excellent upfront price for the Honda Accord - almost $4,000 below invoice. Unfortunately, when I asked for the out the door price, it was littered with add-ons and extra fees claiming that they did all the paperwork to receive my plates and registration ( all the local Honda dealers do this FYI). The increase in price was almost $2000. In addition, they would not send me an official offer thru PDF file and insisted I come into the dealership. Then, I was told that their offer would still stand stood when my official offer from Performance Honda fell through because they stated that they were being dishonest. I felt that the online staff was very unaccommodating to my needs.

bait and switch, rude and unfriendly staff

There was a car-HONA ACCORD Stock #H24705A $14,900 | Mileage: 28,289 advertised, which apparently didn't exist. made me drive almost 100 miles after speaking with 2 staff literally 5 mins before leaving home who encouraged me on the drive. I got in by , was stood up-wasn't offered a seat. then after was told the car was sold the night before! of course I asked for a seat, I was ushered to go 'see' other cars I would be interested in Of course the next option similar make model with 35k or so miles was $4000 more-after I was told they would work with my earlier budget. when I met with the sales guy whom I spoke with before leaving home 2 hrs earlier-Jim W, he was quick to hand me over to his robotic 'boss'/colleague. I sincerely want to believe this is not how all the staff are. The ones that attended to me were robots, automated with no atom of basic emotion. I was able to get away and made it home with another car from a more lively friendly car dealership - saving my mind the torture of what would have been a 200 mile drive without fruit. with my experience, i'd give them a -5. These set I met are the worst to deal with, EVER

Great Experience

After researching cars and dealerships online, I drove 2 hours this weekend to buy a car from Jeff Wyler Honda. I had in mind I would buy a smart car but ended up getting a Honda Civic. Have to say working with Brenda with the "Internet Team" was so easy and a wonderful experience. Even though this has to be the busiest dealership I have ever seen, we never felt like we where a bother to Brenda. She was wonderful to work with and I will defintely go back to her again!!!

This was by far the easiest car buying experience we've ever had. John Booth was friendly, knowledgeable, and not 'pushy'. His knowledge of the features and how everything worked on our new CR-V was amazing. He was personable and made the time 'waiting' fly by. We were recommended to Jeff Wyler Honda by family members and will be sure to pass on this recommendation to our family and friends.

Although the salesman was friendly; there was a transfer of personnel when we came to a stalemate on the price. The "Honda man" came over and then we felt like we were in the 80's again. He was pushy and implied the price from the other dealership was a come-on and that we didn't know what we were doing. Sort of a "come back to me when you've grown up and realized I'm the good guy." He left and we waited for our salesman to come back. When he did not reappear we left him a note. I will not go back to this dealership.

Great Buying Experience

Thanks to David Barnhart and the sales team at Jeff Wyler Honda we had a great buying experience. Everyone we talked to was friendly. I could tell they enjoyed working there. The car was detailed nicely. We new that the service team had gone over it and fixed any issues. The service guys even helped when I couldn't figure out how to work something! They were great about it and we appreciated everything they did. They washed the car before we left and driving away in a clean, well running used car made us feel like we had made a good buying choice.

The experience of purchasing a new vehicle was amazing! I simply located the car I wanted, sent an email, and within minutes Kathy had responded with an internet quote. She even took care of qualifying for the 0.9% interest rate which was expiring that very day! Once at the dealership, it was smooth sailing. Most of the paperwork was done via internet and the wait time was very short. I love internet shopping.....

Beth and Heath Raleigh

My husband and I leased a vehicle in December of 2008. I had been in a car accident in which my car had been totaled. We had heard many good things about Jeff Wyler Honda, so we decided to begin our car search there. Our sales person was Kathy Collier, whom even though it was a very cold and snowy evening, took the time to listen to our abrupt car situation and did her best to put our needs first and give us the best deal. We ended up closing the deal that evening and leased our very first Honda Accord. The lease was due to mature within the next six months, so my husband and I had begun our search for our next vehicle purchase. We had been discussing the purchase of an SUV, but at the sky rocketing rate of gas prices and my husband already having a full size truck, it made more sense economically to purchase a car. We were equally enticed by the Toyota Camry SE as well as the Honda Accord EXL. We visited another car dealership to test drive the Camry SE. We thoroughly enjoyed the look and drive of this car. It had plenty of room for our future family and was still sporty enough. During our run at this dealership and while we were in the process of running the numbers, another salesman underhandedly sold the car out from under our salesman. At that point, my husband expressed his concerns with the Sales Manager of whom was unapologetic and specifically stated that if we were unwilling to put down a $500 deposit, then maybe we should not purchase cars from that dealership in the future. To which my husband, his grandmother, and best friend had all purchased vehicles in excess of $100,000 over the past few years. Needless to say, we were DONE with this experience. We continued our research and noticed that there was an exact match of the Camry SE that we had test drove at another, more local, dealership. We had also called Kathy Collier that morning at Jeff Wyler Honda to discuss a black on black Accord that was in the new inventory lot via the Internet. My husband called and requested to speak with Kathy, and she was more than eager to meet with us that early afternoon. As soon as we met with Kathy she made us feel so welcomed and comfortable that we knew this was "right". She was so wonderful and knew how we had been treated the day earlier. In fact when we told her that we had been looking at Toyota vehicles, she said "oh now it's a throw down". We could not have asked for a better experience with Kathy or with Jeff Wyler Honda. This is my second Honda and I am absolutely in love with this vehicle and more than that, I am truly honored to have worked with Kathy...twice! She made our experience even better by wrapping two key chains as gifts and gave them each her own personal touch. What an absolutely amazing sales woman and person. Jeff Wyler Honda Florence KY Needs A Different Sales Approach

It took less time for me to sign mortgage papers to buy my house than it took to buy a car at Jeff Wyler Honda in Florence, KY. After 3 hours of grueling back and forth negotiating, I left with a new Honda Element which I like. However, I did not appreciate hearing things like "What can I do to sell you a car today. I mean today." Or "Our computers are down, I can't run those figures for you." Or "We will come down if you agree to give up the 7 year all-surface care warranty that comes with this Element." Or "We are at rock bottom here. We can't go any lower (I wanted them to come down $180) but I will throw in the first oil change free and free car washes for life." Interesting negotiating tactic, considering I am getting those things anyway after buying a new Honda at that store. After that comment, I started to walk out. The sales guy said "Ok, Ok, I will have to go over my manager's head and talk to the General Manager about this." Are you kidding me? Low and behold, he came down $180 like I wanted. I spent another hour with the Financial guy who tried his best to sell me a warranty package for $12 a month. After several polite "no's" to his offer, and a firm but slightly rude, "Nooooooooo!!! I don't want this warranty insurance!!!!!" he proceeded with the paperwork. Here's the kicker. The financial guy had the nerve to say "Make sure you give the salesperson all fives on their survey. They like to get all fives." And that wasn't the first time I heard this plea to "give all fives" on the customer survey. The sales guy (who didn't have his new car feature checklist....printer was down) said as I got into my new car to leave, "we really need to get all fives on the survey...if we don't get all fives, we really hear it from corporate." I haven't completed the survey because, obviously, I wouldn't give all fives because of the unscrupulous, high pressure sales tactics used at Jeff Wyler Honda in Florence, KY. That's why I strongly recommend that you buy your Honda elsewhere. This being said, I would give all fives to the Honda service department at this location. All fives that is, except for one incident when a service guy blew me off when I asked about fixing a low arm rest problem on the Element. I discovered on my own that a replacement armrest exists (search dealerfit plus dot com after it) that is Honda certified and made specifically for the Element. Shouldn't the service guy have known that? Or at least checked into it? I felt like he just wanted to get rid of me and that my issue was not important, even though he agreed that the armrest are indeed too low (I asked him to sit in the driver's seat). Well, I now have an armrest that is the correct height and in the end, I am happy with my new Element but I don't feel like I got a fair deal.
