Just bought 2005 Liberty Sport 4x4
by spiffykyle on Wed Mar 15 09:05:08 PST 2006
We were planning on buying a small SUV in a few months, but recent catastrophic failure of my wife's '96 Camero pushed that decision up to this past Monday. First off we live in Houston, TX and we went to Carmax since I had a great experience there buying my car. We knew we wanted a small SUV and after test driving a bunch my wife fell in love with the Liberty. So we found a 2005 Liberty Sport 4x4 with ~12,500 miles on it for $17,000 +ttl. After all the paperwork and trading in her car (they gave us blue book for it even though it needed some hefty engine work) we ended up paying a little less that $20K for the Jeep with a 5yr comprehensive warranty. Its the kakhi color with cloth interior, V6, and a few extras. So far its driving great, I can't get my wife out of it.
2006 Rubicon

As of this morning I finalized the terms on an 06 Solar Yellow Rubicon. I bought it from TradeMark Auto Group (Bryan, TX) and it has been an awesome experience. I live a Houston which is quite a ways from Bryan (120 miles) and did everything via email. I sent in the request, the salesman replied with a quote, I countered and the deal was accepted including 1 yr oil changes and free delivery to my home. I highly recommend this dealership. Cant wait until tomorrow when they drop off my new toy!
To what number do I apply the rebate?
by ckw27 on Sat Apr 03 17:20:50 PST 2004
I'm trying to buy an '04 Liberty Limited Ed. The MSRP is 25,480. I offered 22,500 and they accepted it immediately. They also increased the offer on my trade by $1,400 in a matter of five minutes. At that point, we were only about $300 away from my "secret" number. Therefore, my thinking is that they are still making too much money from me. The question is this: If the rebate is $2,000; should I be subtracting this figure from the $22,500? Otherwise put: The homework I did on Edmonds.com showed the TMV "Total with Options to be $26,515. Right below that, it subtracts the $2,000 Rebate... to show "Customer Cash Adjusted to True Market Value as $21,515. Help please!
