Hi Carman, We are planing to lease a jeep 2d 4wd WranglerX 2c model. (we r in AZ. Dealer quoted adjusted price of vehicle at 20,498. We wanted a 24 month/12K lease - and they came up with a price of $400 after $2500 down. Residual value of 14,672. Please help - i thought our payments would be about $275-$300 range. This completely blew me away. Also, residual value is based on the pre tax value - right???
Unlimited...why?
by arizonajoe on Wed Jan 17 12:50:19 PST 2007
I'm really confused why anyone would buy an Unlimited when you could just go out and buy an Xterra with so much more power and torque (and a 5-speed auto). The appeal of the Wrangler for me is in the classic Wrangler design. There truly is only one. But an Unlimited feels like a terrible compromise -- the extra weight just exacerbates the fact that the Wrangler is woefully underpowered. If I were driving an Unlimited, I would flinch every time I saw an Xterra or FJ Cruiser on the road, knowing they were so much better. Driving the normal Wrangler, I wouldn't feel that way at all.

So a dealer is actually selling these units for holdback only? I'm impressed but live too far from AZ. I wonder what the waiting time is now after full production has been reached? THANKS for the input though.

In Arizona, most dealers charge around $299 for the doc fee. Some are up in the $400 range.

that is the same pkg I was looking for (F) and yes they have a 3K in rebates on the GC, the No payments are for purchases only... If you want a 4x2 w/ 4.7 V w5spd you should be able to get for 24K, that is :shades: the price I got mine for.

Yes, but to go into a dealership and say, take my trade (pay it off) and I'll take your new car all for payments at about my old payments isn't the right way to go about it. But I think you can get them lower on the Net Cap for a V6 GC.. The mileage different between the V6 and V8 (4.7) isn't that much and the GC weights a lot, the V6 really suffers... I got my dealer down to to 24K and that with a V8.... :shades:
