[kyfdx]: by t_girl on Mon Jun 08 12:27:58 PDT 2009; It stinks, but it is a user tax. you only pay tax on what you "use". so you only pay tax on part of the selling price of the car not the whole thing. You can't beat the governor. My friend in NJ pays 7%, but has to pay it all up front! So money down is the tax!

About to lease a 2009 XF - Is this a good deal?: by wade15 on Thu May 07 15:12:23 PDT 2009; I am about to lease a 2009 XF and I have been quoted (by a sales person that leased me another jag in the past) the following; - $750/month x 39 months. - It is a �true $0� lease, meaning that tax, title, tags, etc. are rolled into the lease payment - The miles per year are 10.5k and the residual is $26.5k - I live in and will be leasing the car from NJ Sound like a good deal, or can I negotiate down even further? He told me that the moeny factor is .0155 but said thru US Bank the residual is 41%. Is this correct? Above it says 61%.. Big difference.

Re: 2007 jaguar x-type lease [Car_man]: by im_brentwood on Wed Sep 05 07:22:37 PDT 2007; IIRC Chase Auto finance is around 37% on a 12k lease and they have approximately .00280 money if you are tier 1. Don't quote me on this exactly, but if I recall I am quite close. Jaguar Credit's program is better, but the extra $4,500 in trunk money negates their program on the X-Type... even though you pay more interest with Chase, your net cost is lower.
