Re: Lease rates for Jaguar XF? [travelguy]

Hi Nish, Thanks for the feedback. I know you are across the continent but should that really make a difference in the lease deal I can get in CA? They are now at $799/month with $3500 Drive Off. It is a completely loaded Premium XF listed at $58,500 selling it to me for the $46,600 price or somewhere in that area. But it is still about $4000 above what you paid and with $2500 more down. Am I getting a bad deal? Any opinions would be so appreciated. I hope to decide by Thursday. Thank you.
Re: S-Type 4.2 and S-Type R Question [Car_man]

My local Orange County, CA dealer is advertising a S-Type 3.0 base model at $499/mo, 24 mo, $5k driveoff lease with 10,500 miles per year. Not clear if the cost of the car has been reduced to get to these figures. The payment is reasonable, but the driveoffs seem pretty high for just a 2 year lease. Presumably to get to these numbers, they've accounted for the $4k of lease incentives you mention - though I see nothing about that on the Edmunds website currently. Any idea on the money factors they're using or if I'm missing something? How much lower can I get them to go down?

S-type R purchase San Jose, CA
by jephjeph on Tue Apr 19 23:09:30 PDT 2005
I know this is a little late but I don't see any S-Type R purchase prices here so I thought I'd throw mine up. I paid $59,114 for an S-Type R with nav, and front parking sensors. This is higher than the current TMV, but I felt it was an ok deal at the time because S-Type R's were pretty hard to find in stock. Anyhow, sweet car.

We bought an X-type in January. We searched the web, found a pretty good price from a dealer 40 miles away. Then we called and discussed it on the phone. Then we took that information to our local dealer and he was really good about giving us a better deal. He didn't use a hard sell approach, but simply sat down with us and went through the details. I'd buy another car from him in a heartbeat.
2005 3.0 S-Type
by pluvious on Sat Apr 16 09:09:17 PDT 2005
Hi, Anyone have any ideas on what kind of deal I should be able to get for a new fully loaded S-Type 3.0? What kind of money factor should I be shooting for? Also, they dealer here in Santa Monica, CA has a 2003 loaded S-type with 17K miles for $28K. Is this a good deal? Thanks for your input and advise.
