Deals on Troopers: by fgrieco on Thu Mar 15 12:18:20 PST 2001; I think you should be able to get even better deals on Troopers and other Isuzus than those you are mentioning. The formula with the dealer holdback is fine, but according to the Edmunds site, there is a $2000 regional customer rebate ~and~ a $2000 national dealer incentive (4WD 2001 Troopers). There is also the 0% financing. Our local dealer (Sheehy of Springfield, VA) has an ad for 2001 Trooper S 4WD models for $22000 on the weekends. I called the dealer. First, this is a weekend only deal, and in order to get the 0% financing you have to give up the $2000 rebate. I assume this would bring the "weekend price" up to $24000. I may test this at the end of the month! The invoice on this truck is $25,000, so at $24,000, the dealer would still be getting $1000 in factory incentives plus the 3% holdback. The 0% financing is worth roughly $4500 in vehicle cost vs. 7% financing. Fred
