I agree with your sentiment. I hate it when sales people act like they are doing something they feel uncomfortable with. No one is forcing them to do anything if they really don't want to do it then don't do it. The attitude (in the high pressure game) is always to act like the deal is like a life or death thing. Crazy!

I don't know, but it really seems like they choose not to and also have a generally unfriendly attitude because they have that monopoly going.

If you want the best deal you'll have to drive to a big city with multiple dealers (in this case, you'll probably have to leave Indiana). If you want to stay local then you'll probably have to pay a grand or two extra. Have you tried border cities like Cincy, L-ville, Chicago, etc? Same thing here, I had to skip the Fresno dealer and drive 3 hours to the Bay area. It was worth it to me to save an extra couple grand!

That's an insane deal. The 08 manual coupe is identical to the 09 except for the switch to rotary seat heater controls. I just bought a leftover 08 coupe in San Jose for 7000 off and thought that was a great deal, but you've got me beat! What dealer is that located??

If you don't mind waiting a few months it's probably worth waiting for the 2010 (if) it comes with direct injection which will yield some more ponies and better MPG. Good luck!
New 08 6MT coupe
by dat2 on Wed Jul 29 00:38:24 PDT 2009
Hi all, I just traded in my 07 coupe for a leftover new 08 coupe. I was having a lot of problems with the 07, oil consumption, bad tranny, struts, etc. So I just stumbled upon a good deal on a leftover 08 coupe. It's Amathyst graphite, 6MT, with premium pack and spoiler. MSRP was 41g and I got it for 34g. Also got a decent trade in on my 07 6MT with 28k miles, they gave me 23g for it. Anyone think I got a decent deal? Does anyone know if a late model 08 has any glitches such as the bad throttle software or anything else? I haven't really noticed anything yet except for the rumbly idle that others have mentioned. It idles almost like a small block Chevy!! :D Take care!
