New 2007 M35
by skiime on Sun Mar 02 18:24:20 PST 2008
I just got a new 2007 M35. I had been looking for one in Umbria Gray with the Wheat interior here in Atlanta, but no one had what I wanted. I did some research and found that Modern Infiniti in Winston Salem, NC had two of them with exactly what I wanted. I thought I would let you all know the deal I got, because I am pretty happy with my purchase. I paid $36.5K, and with taxes, tags, etc, the OTD price came to $39.5K. This is with the Journey and Technology package. Sticker was $46.9K. I think I got a good deal, and my salesman could not have been better. I know it's a 2007, but for the price, I couldn't see paying that much more for a 2008.

I had a test drive last summer of a G35 sedan at Crossroads Infiniti in Raleigh. I found the salesman to be personable and not pushy. I wasn't quite ready to buy at the time so I have no idea how well they deal. I had been considering a Lexus IS250 but after the test drive, I took it out of consideration. The car is just too small (I'm 6' 2"). I plan to buy a sedan in the next couple months and the G35 is at the top of my list! I hadn't seriously considered the vehicle until I drove it. Please leave feedback with any experience you have with them. I'd like to know. I saw one positive feedback on this forum from a person who came from Virginia to buy a car at Crossroads and recommended them. I talked to one G35 owner at a gas station and he was pleased with Crossroads Infiniti, but I have no idea how much he paid. There are other Infiniti dealers in NC (Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and 2 in the Charlotte area). I had also considered Virginia but they have front license plates and would rather not have a plate holder on the front when I don't need it. I hope you find a good deal and let us know.

I am about 4 hours away. I live in Winston-Salem right now and there are only 4 on the lot here with only 1 being manual. Im still not sure whether I want the Infiniti or a bimmer but the discount off MSRP could be a deciding factor.

hi,Thanks for your input.I live in the durham area but also temporarily hang out in the Pinehurst area so I would be flexible going to any of the locations.I went to infiniti of raleigh and looked around they had only 5 m35 on the lot but were expecting 14 in 2 weeks.Did call Modern infiniti at Greensboro, they have the same problem with supply, but was ticked off when over the phone the sales guy who wanted my credit card downpayment so he could bring a car from another dealer to the centre,I thought that was kind of desperate being that I only spoke to him for about 5 minutes,I would check on the one in winston salem.I am looking for a twilight blue with graphite interior m35 Awd with journey and nav. Thanks again will keep searching cos i am looking to get one in 4 weeks.

I have been to Infiniti of Raleigh recently and was offered about 1,500 off MSRP on a M35 with Tech/Journey without any negotiation. I walked as I'm not quite ready to buy. From this forum I think that 2-3 K off MSRP (or about 1000 over invoice) is easily obtained in NC. I cannot speak for AWD versions, however. They seem to be pretty scarce around here. I'm not sure where you are in NC but I did like Modern Infiniti better- they have a store in Winston-Salem and Greensboro. They offered to hand me the loaner overnight to help me convince my wife. I work in-between the Triangle and the Triad so I have alot of options. The Tech package requires the Journey pakage, so you're out of luck there. I'm not real happy with their packaging...
Re: Domestic Discounts - Effect on Infiniti and Others [empty1]

I doubt it. Some people may cross shop the M with the STS (I did after the discount started), but I can't think of many cars that fall under the discount that compete with the M. I'd think that if Infiniti were concerned about the competition with the discounters, they wouldn't have just raised the MSRP by $540.
