Re: First time poster, long time lurker... [jason3824] by dbledmndk2 on Tue Feb 14 18:58:43 PST 2012

I just leased a new G37x with Premium Package just outside Boston and was able to negotiate the following for a 39 month, 10,000 mile lease. Monthly Payment of $365 including MA taxes $2k down at signing including acquisition cost, doc fee, registration, etc. MSRP $41,405, Residual 60% Adjusted Capitalized Cost $36,470, Money Factor .00074 I'm not sure how they got down to that adjusted cost, but it was the best deal I found after talking to a few dealers in the area. It was almost $100/month and $1000 less down at signing than the Audi A4 that I was ready to get. Just wanted to share where I ended up and hopefully it was as good of a deal as it seemed when I saw it on paper.

That seems like a great deal - may I ask what dealer in MA you worked with? Also, will you have to pay the $395 lease termination fee? I was working with the dealer at Herb Chambers in Boston and it got a little uncomfortable when he was talking about needing to replace all 4 tires before returning and paying $395. Any insight is much appreciated.

2010 or 2011? by carinatl on Fri Sep 03 12:48:27 PDT 2010

Car Man, I am looking to lease an FX35. Knowing that the 2011 is expected to come out at the end of the month I am wondering if I will get a better deal on a 2010 or waiting for a 2011? I am located in Boston, MA am looking for 36-39mo lease with the Premium and Navigation packages on a AWD. I will put up to $4,000 down. I need 12k miles per year. What should I expect to pay?

The internet has made negotiating easy. You don't need an intermediate site to bargain for you. All they do is take a cut (from the dealers) and forward your email to dealers. Search the Infiniti site for dealers in your area. Decide how far you are willing to go to buy your car. Then send an email to each of those dealers with exactly what you want. Just write the email once and do a copy and paste for all the dealers. Most dealers will respond and you'll be surprised at the range of offers and also by how many times some dealers will follow up to pursue your business. I did this many times and have had gotten great deals. I purchased a new 2008 Acura MDX in late 2008 and got responses from 8 dealers. I got the car for more than $7K below sticker and below what Edmunds.com said people were paying. I had to travel 80 miles for the car, but I have it serviced locally. A few months ago I bought a 2010 Honda Odyssey for my daughter (having triplets in August). I sent emails to 23 dealers in the Boston Area. I got responses from 17 and six were competitive, well below invoice. A few didn't want to deal over the internet, so I just ignored them. I've been a good car shopper for many years, having owned 36 cars, I don't mind going into showrooms to talk with sales persons, but the internet is the most convenient and painless way to get started. You don't need to drive all over and waste a lot of time.
