If I wanted FWD I would have picked up a MINI Cooper S. More fun to drive than a TL / TSX, a heck of lot cheaper, and much better gas mileage. Gobs and gobs of torque steer though. They were getting easier to find and you could score $500 or more off MSRP earlier this year, but once gas hit $3.75 and $4 a gallon you can forget about any discount or even finding a new one to buy or lease. You point was if you accept what you would think of as a lesser car just to save some money where to do you draw the line? That is always the choice, isn't it? Is car x worth $yyy more than car z? If you just want transportation you can do it for less. Once you have driven and appreciate the RWD (or AWD) driving dynamic FWD is just "wrong" to me. No way would *I* pay all that much for a FWD car, just go get an Accord, MINI or Mazdaspeed 3 or something and save the money. But that is *ME*. Most folks probably don't drive the way I do or care as much - maybe they don't mind FWD since they is all they know or they only have 1 car to drive and live where it snows. Test drive them both, preferably with no salesperson in the car and see what you think. I did, and the Cooper S (with works stuff on it) and lots of other cars before I decided on a G for *ME*. You have to do what makes you happy both behind the wheel but also in the wallet :D . Dennis

I already have a G37, so need to convince ME - just the person I was replying to :D . BTW, all the Acura models require premium gas just like the G models. If a buyer DID purchase an Accord sedan or coupe those call for regular unleaded. Dennis

The current lease deals are horrible for the 2009. I test drove the 2009 FX35 yesterday. It was a RWD FX35 with premium package. Beautiful car. I loved it. The salesman basically told me that I sound like a well informed buyer and the price he would quote me might sound crazy. I told him I wouldn't be buying today because I had heard their money factors and residuals were "off" on the 2009 so far. He actually agreed. Said that they couldn't figure out why the numbers were jacked up so much for this car. HE TOLD ME to wait a few months and the numbers might be tweaked to a more reasonable level. I didn't even get the actual money factor or residual since he quoted me over 800/month for a $44K MSRP car. Said they could work hard to get right under $800. I told him if they stay anwhere near that price I would never buy an FX. Insane. This was for a 10K mile 39 month lease! I can't even imagine what money factor they were using. Even if the residual is .49 as another poster has listed, I still can't see how they get close to $800/month. He said they had sold a bunch already so I guess some people have more money than sense.
