Re: Difference in Invoice Base Price for G35 Journey [silica1]: by dwynne on Thu Mar 13 07:27:56 PDT 2008; You have to add the destination charge to the Edmunds price (which is stupid on their part since you have to pay it in all cases). To ME "invoice" is the invoice price of the car with all options and the destination fee. The $250 price increase is an "up to" and would be the price increase if your G had every possible option and was a certain model. Most Gs will not have gone up that much. When you pick a car out just write down the sticker options and compare that online to the same car with the same options. If the MSRPs are the same then the invoice shown should be correct. If the car's sticker is lower, then it is a pre-price increase car and you need to adjust the invoice down by around the difference in the MSRPs. Dennis

Pulled the Trigger: by benbo on Sun Mar 16 18:57:14 PDT 2008; I posted previously about squirming between purchase of a like new '07 QX56 and a new one. I purchased a new QX56 this week-end. After what seemed like a weekend of Sundays the dealer quoted $49,450 for a 2WD with options that totaled $56500.00. I would not buy all of the dealer add on , paint treatment, special tire inflation, leather treatment etc. The final price was after the $1500 incentive. I MIGHT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO GET ANOTHER $500-1500 BUT MY WIFE STARTED TO SEE AN UGLY SIDE OF ME. Nice truck and so far, no buyers remorse. Maybe it is too soon, but I knew what I wanted to pay , around $48,000, W/O the entertainment package. I got the package and some other minor stuff for the above price, Oh well ! By the way, I had another dealer offer me a used '08, similalrly equipped for $48,000.00

Just make sure your quotes include it and the fees - some dealers will quote the car w/o destination so their price is better than the other dealers, then add destination back onto the deal when you show up to get the car.
