Desperate need of help
by max_anderson on Wed Dec 17 14:08:37 PST 2008
I'm fairly illiterate when it comes to negotiating tactics. Here is what was presented to me by an Infiniti dealer in Chicago: 2008 EX35 Journey (AWD) w/navigation, premium package, and technology package. MSRP - $43,965 Sale Price - $40,800 39-month lease, 15K per year Money Factor: .00179 Residual: 54% Monthly payment - including 8% sales tax rolled in (we pay tax on full sale price in IL), is $589 per month with $922 at signing (presumably title, license, doc plus first month). Considering I'm paying $640 (a rip-off) per month on my '06 Audi A4 Avant and the best I could work out for an '09 Audi A4 was $725 per month, $589 per month sounds pretty good. But I look at the Edmund's TMV and the total, with options, is $36,793. That seems pretty incredible that they would sell the vehicle for almost $4,000 under invoice. Any thoughts on what I should counter with? Thanks for any suggestions.
Re: PURCHASE - 2008 G37 COUPE [dat2]

I have loved the G models of Infiniti cars since their inception and after driving a friend's back in 2004, I've been determined to get one. It's now 2009 and I’m finally in the market. I feel confident that I got the best possible deal after countless hours of research. Thanks to the posting #7191 by DAT2 where he mentioned how FIELDS INFINITI of both Glencoe & Libertyville in IL is "running a special right now with 10 grand off remaining 08s" and turned out to be absolutely correct. I live in CT which for me is about a 15 hr drive but after failing to find a great deal closer to home, I was more than willing to make the trip to the Chicago area. I hopped on a plane on Friday & the salesman had already agreed to pick me up at the O'Hare airport and send me on my merry way back to CT with my brand new 2008 G37S!! Unfortunately, I cannot mention the names of the sales consultant or business manager but mentioning FIELDS Infiniti's impeccable service should be a great place to start for anyone interested in getting a GREAT deal. So here is my breakdown: 2008 G37S Journey Coupe w/t Premium Pkg; Sport Pkg; Nav. Pkg w/t 9.3 GB hard drive; Illuminated Kick Plates, Splash Guards, Cargo Net, Trunk Mat & 15miles.... but no rear spoiler :-( MSRP: $ 43,895 DISCOUNT: $10,000 Sale Price: $33,895 + Doc Fee: $150 + Lic/Registration Fee: $10 TOTAL SELLING PRICE: $34,055 Sales tax and registration was paid in CT. No Charge for picking me up at the airport.... :-) PS: I also got a FREE set of brand new All Season Tires which is a special for buying any in stock 2008 G37!!! Find your coupon on their website. Sale ends on 2/28/09.

I am turning in my Infinit M lease for a 2009 G37x coupe. G MSRP is 45,875. I am getting a VPP number from a freind that is the regional sales manager for Infinti. Can someone tell me what reasonalble lease terms would be for a four year, 15K mi per year lease for this car? I do get 500 dollars loyalty cash and tax here is 7.25 per cent.

Yes I am. I posted an ad last night. Did you include pictures? Did you include your phone number also? I'm afraid I might get bombarded with telemarketers calling my cell!

How'd you sell your Lexus? Craigslist? Cars.com? How was your experience?

What is included in OTD? You deal is basically $7k off MSRP which is not that great, however, add 7% sales tax, title/licensing and documentation fees, then you're getting over $9k off MSRP, which is fantastic! Some details would help...
