Re: Price Under Invoice? [brock5]
by msv3 on Wed Nov 04 13:28:25 PST 2009
Yes, I paid an estimated 3200 under invoice for a new 2009 G37X sedan (based on edmunds) using my own financing. They really wanted the sale - also, there is a lot of competition with multiple dealerships in the DC metro area. I would think you could get a better price if you contacted multiple dealerships and see if they can beat the price.

Does anyone have a good deal worth posting on here? Also, what is the MF/Residual for 39 month leases with 12k or 15k miles? Thanks!

Sorry, I should have been more descriptive. Let me start over now that I actually have the car: G37x sedan (Blue Slate w/aluminum and Stone interior), Premium package, cargo net, floor mats, splash guards, 7 year extended warranty, and the dealership's VIP package, which includes free oil changes/car washes, discounts on parts/service, loaner cars during maintenance, 50% off detailing, free tire rotations, and free inspections for life (~$1k) Just the car: $33,500. Total including VIP, ext. warranty, and tax, titles, tag, and haggling: $38k. They were able to match my credit unions financing and actually go lower, so I'm really happy with that. I got it from Sheehy Infiniti, in Annapolis, MD. The service was good there, though the dealers like to make you wait while the finance guy 'does his thing' with your paperwork, though I suppose that's anywhere. I shopped around quite a bit in the MD/DC area until I got them to beat some internet quotes. I've had it for about 2 weeks now and I'm really happy with it. If anyone wants to pair up for the AMEX deal, let me know.

Also went to JBA Infiniti- had been negotiating around the DC area for an EX35 though for weeks but then started to get reservations about size- only started considering the FX35 after a few days. Was in need to buy a card quick, because I was able to sell my 07 TL- went to JBA because they seemed to have the best inventory for used FX35- well the inventory wasn't impressive afterall- ended up actually buying a new 09! I think they were shocked to b/c there was absolutely no pressure- they weren't even trying to sell me new! I am still in shock b/c it wasn't the plan and I didn't seek internet quotes prior but remember checking previously on these boards about what to expect in terms of pricing- so here it is: Got a 09 FX35 AWD with Premium and Navigation Package, splash guards, cargo organizer (love that!), cargo tray- is the 1st aid kit standard (?) b/c that was in the back too)- Color: Blue Slate/Graphite Interior Went in and said- not buying used but will close deal today for 10k off MSRP- after slight negotiation- the car was just that- I got nearly 10k off- MSRP was 50k and final price was 40,250k- OTD price was 41,710.50! Please tell me I did good considering I only negotiated with one dealer and just winged it basically- the place was slow and I was the only sale that day- they actually said, the best time to make a deal is the beginning of the month and not so much the end b/c no one comes in at the beginning and they have to meet quotas by the 15th of the month- I don't know if that was BS or not but I am happy! For 7k more than the used ones I was looking- brand new was the way to go and I am very happy! Now looking to team up with someone regarding the AMEX card deal!
Is this a good deal?
by jenp123 on Wed Sep 30 11:44:52 PDT 2009
Okay, so I have been negotiating with everyone in and around the DC area with not the kind of luck I was hoping for. So far I am back to my local dealer at $34,800 for EX35 AWD Journey with Nav/Bose and Premium Packg. MSRP is 40k and some change. Roof Rails, Splash Guards, Cargo Protector I believe are included. I really haven't been able to get lower than this.....its the last day of the month- I think if I walk in there and give them at the door price, I could make this work. Any suggestion on what number I should shoot for- am I in a good range? Thanks.
new G37X purchase question
by jsam on Wed Sep 16 13:56:20 PDT 2009
Hello all, Many thanks for this forum. Can't say enough about the superb info exchanged here. I am in suburban DC (hello to others recently posting from here as well). Have begun discussions with local MD dealer on a G37X w/ Premium pkg. Am considering taking Infiniti Financing (1.9 @ 60mo, etc.), which, I believe, means the $2500 dealer incentive is off the table. Is that correct? Q 1: is it possible to get the 2500 dealer incentive and take credit union financing or is standard dealer financing required? It appears to me that if I can get a super deal (33500) and can get private financing at a low rate (aprox 4.15%), I would be better off to forget the financing. Q 2: Assuming I took the financing deal, I was quoted $36500 incl. freight and dealer processing (99), but not incl 6% MD tax and title. That seems a little high to me, even if that was quoted with the 1.9 deal and -$2500 off the table. What do you guys think? Many thanks again,
