Good deal?

I have been shopping around for a couple weeks and have been finally offered the below deal. Doing the math, I think I am about $750 over invoice (with the doc fee). G35 Journey w/ Prem Pkg only 24 month, 12k mile lease Tier 1 credit MSRP $35,515 Adj Cap Cost of $35,065 includes the following $595 Acquisition fee $600 DMV fee (AZ) $541 1st Payment $495 Doc Fee $0 due at signing with the 23 remaining payments at $541 (including 8% tax). I would love to get this down another couple hundred but I am not having any luck. We only have 4 Infiniti dealers in Phoenix (2 of the 4 owned by the same company) and 1 more in Tucson about 2 hours away. I can get the VPP discount, but every dealer has a $400-500 doc fee so I am in the same ball park with price. I will try one last time when I go do the final deal, but I am ok with paying the extra $10 or so a month to get the car. My bigger concern is that I want to make sure I am good with the math before pulling the trigger.

Gotcha! I though you were talking about "waiting for the paint to cure" or something. You should update your CarSpace profile to show your location :D . Dennis

Now that makes sense...I was not aware of the lack of water down there.

LOL - it's not a paint thing, it's a lack-of-water thing. The original poster and I are located in GA and there are serious water restrictions - I haven't been able to wash my G35 since I bought it  . They recently upped the fines to $1000 for your 2nd violation ($100 on first) - that's an expensive car wash if you get busted! kc

The can't wash the car thing sounds like old wives' tale BS to me. The cars are made in Japan and shipped over here by boat. Even if you purchased one right off the truck the paint has had weeks to "cure". The only exception would be if you purchased some of that rip-off "mop and glow" type paint protection from the stealer, I mean dealer. I guess with that stuff they could tell you not to wash the car for a bit, but I would never buy that stuff so I could not say. Dennis

Forgive my ignorance...What's this about not being able to wash the car? I'm obviosly missing something here and since I will soon be the owner of one of these cars I'm hoping you'll share. Is there a special finish on the car that is not supposed to be romoved for a certain period of time or something??
