Re: 2007 M45's on the lot in Atlanta [ram60]

The Infiniti dealer in Huntsville, AL claims they don't plan to get any 2007 M's until late this year. Their Sales Manager says their overall business has been off this past year. I don't think they are selling many of them because they won't meet the competition from Birmingham or Atlanta. (BTW, Nashville Infiniti told me they bought Huntsville Infiniti a while back.) Huntsville Infiniti also told me that there is no break-in period for the M, so it's Ok to wring them out during test drives.....phew!

Go to the Infinit web site (www.infiniti.com) and under the drop down menu select the "locate dealer" item. Do a 150 mile radius search for dealers within specific geographic regions you're willing to travel to (if needed) and then search those dealer existing inventory. This is how I got the local dealer to get off the high horse and actually deal. By the time it was over they were really working to get the deal. Use e-mail to contact a couple other dealers on any car you see in the inventory that you're interested in and make a flat offer (invoice + 500 or 1,000) and see what your response is. This can be used to battle the local dealer (if he really is interested in making the deal). I used this with an offer for Inv + 1,000 from an Atlanta dealer to do battle with the local shop that would only come off MSRP by 2K. They wanted the sale and didn't want some other Infiniti in the area. They kept telling me they want to "earn my business" so I made them earn it.......beat the Atlanta deal or I'm driving. I got the car for Inv +800 with an additional 1K on my G35 trade. It may not work in your area if the local dealership is that stupid, then again you may find what you want within a couple hours drive and only be out some time..... Good luck.

This forum is a great tool if you spend the time to review the data placed within it. I have lamented over the buying experience since there is only 1 local dealer and they think they control the market. I found the M45 sport I wanted as it was delivered Fri. night and visited the dealer on saturday morning. I offered invoice + 1K and was laughed at, got the supply and demand lecture. Based on the data I've seen on this post I went to the web and made inquiries with 4 other dealers within a 3 hour drive and immediately got an acceptance of 1k over inv. The local saleman has kept pushing on the deal and when I told him what I had in writting from an Atlanta dealer they changed their tune. I ended up signing doc's today for M45 sport, tech(xm)/Journey, painted splash guards, stone/aluminum interior for 500 over invoice. The dealer wanted the business and I made them "earn it" by beating the offer in Atlanta. Use the data on this forum and go into the dealership well armed and prepared!!! :shades:

Hope you are enjoying your car. I have been looking at the Carribean blue, but I would like a black interior, most come with the willow interior (I checked with Huntsville AL, Birmingham AL, Chattanooga TN, and Nashville TN). The only one with a black interior had the full Aero package and a price of $38k. I am looking for premium package, winter package, auto. What color is your interior and did you have a choice? Also, after you have had it for a while, please let us know how the carribean blue color does for showing dirt. I am talking about normal everyday dirt...not dirt from snow. Thanks...
