I went to the dealership based on a recommendation from a friend. Honestly, I was looking forward to buying a car (and dealing with high-pressured sales people) as much as one would look forward to surgery without anesthesia). Thankfully, I was greatly surprised. I called ahead and made an appointment to test drive a couple of Highlander models. The salesman was very informative. He listened closely to what features were important to me and he made several no-pressure suggestions for me to think about. For example, buying a base model with tech package added instead of buying a used higher-level model because it comes with tech package (both options costing about the same price based on the <30K miles I was looking for in a used car). I researched the tmv price on Edmunds and found out what I could get for the car from carsdirect on the internet. Then, I called up several dealerships and asked them for their best price. The salesperson at Oakbrook Toyota came extremely close to the internet price and he had it in stock. We drove it off the lot that day. I am extremely happy with it and delighted to say I had a good car shopping experience.
